If you went on their forum you would see that they reckon he'll become a top player.

How many times have you seen him play?

First you say he hasn't been getting rave reviews at Kettering yet how do you know that if you haven't even looked at his progress?

 

funny looking at how in october they thought Mariappa should go but now new contract 4 him is what is being discussed.

Personally he has been a solid player this year and very consistent.

I have to agree with nak, Bennett is actually a very good young defender with a lot of strength and pace. He has actually been playing for the Kettering first team. He actually started against Fulham for Kettering in the F.A Cup. Dale is actually a friend of mine. Before you slag him off i would like to ask you how many times you have actually seen hm play. Also how can you comment on a player if you do not follow there progress, yet you just come out with some **** about Bennett being 'cack'.

 

I've never actually known someone to actually use the word actually in such a short space of time.

On a few occasions, he's still cack, whilst Nak, you keep avoiding the fact that half of your reserve bum chums are never going to make it.

 

He has only played once for the first team and that was a small part against West Ham, not judgable.

I dont beleive been to any Reserve games this season and I dont recall you going to any last season so how could you have seen him play?

fair enough if you have seen him play for the reserves but if you haven't then that is very harsh on the young lad.

On a few occasions, oh well you can really make a judgment on a young player if you have seen him on a few occasions. You just wait Chewitt. In a couple of years alot of these reserves will be in the team. Loach, Jenkins, O'Toole, Robinson, Young, Bennett, Parkes, Henderson. Have all featured for the team and are still very young. Give in 3 years and i bet you most of these will be playing for the first team. If you hadn't noticed our academy is actually very good and these reserve 'bum chums' will be playing for the team soon.

 

Saw him in the pre-season friendly vs Wealdstone, and once in the reserves last year on top of the WH appearance.

Seen enough to realise he won't be a regular for us, much like Parkes and Henderson. Sure they may well play a step or two below but not at championship level.

 

They play a step or two below now and are 17 or 18 in a few years time....

Parkes is sh*t, obviously you're one of the last few remaining fools that think he's some sort of full back saviour, the rest jumped ship along time ago and realised he's never going to be any good.

Robinson is 20, that's hardly "very young" and he's certainly at the point where it's make or break, Lewis Young is 20 in about 6 months and has made a couple of sub appearances. Parkes is also nearly 20 so to try and claim they've still got another 3 years to make it is utterly laughable. No club waits till a player who came through the ranks is 23, it just doesn't happen. If they're that good then they'll be making an impact on the first team around the 20yr old mark.

I'm well aware of our impressive academy infrostructure but the rewards from Harefield won't be seen for years yet whilst there's a huge difference between the academy and reserve no hopers.

Obviously there has been a misunderstanding of my previous post. What i meant is that the likes of Dale play a 'step or two below' championship level now. Bennett is 19 (recently turned this). He plays three levels below the championship.

Jordan Parkes is also 19. He plays also plays three levels down.

You did not have to take 17 or 18 literally1 year either way e.g 16 or 19 is what i meant also.

what i also meant was that in a few years time these players will be playing in the first team....
