Lets hope Chalobah was their first choice and he's turned them down which is why they've gone for Cattermole.
Only at Forest till January - might be risky if they pin all their midfield play on Chalobah but they do have other decent ones TBF as proven against us.
Certainly can I guess but they'll want to make that certain before the original loan ends as I remember we got caught out with Mutch and Taylor.
Bearing mind Forest have no parachute payments and in view of the signings they have made this season, I can't see how they can meet the Financial Fair Play rules if they are paying the full £35k wages?
I wouldn't be too downbeat if he goes to Forest. Everyone only remembers the best bits of his time here. Henri Lansbury had a great season with us too, he's not exactly 'tearing the league apart' at Forest. Having said that, I would like to see him do well for his sake, great attitude and a future England player potentially.
It's a bit disappointing but I'm glad we haven't over stretched to get him in. Does that mean we'll be looking at McEachran? Or is there anyone else available in premier league squads?
I think we should just sign anybody. Someone who's going to DEFINITELY be good and knows our style of play inside out immediately. Plenty of them going round.
What a long day.finally at the hotel and pleased to have signed for @Official_NFFC until Jan.looking forward to the challenge.#nffc At least he won't be playing against us.
Can't help but feel Forest is a move backwards or at the very most a career side step, guess football is all about the money though.
Disappointed for us. I find it very hard to feel sorry for an 18 yr old on 30k a week, wherever he's ended up for now
Forest are a good team, they sold one of their best midfielders (Guieidoraoaoara or however it's spelt) towards the end of the transfer window and Chalobah has a very good chance of getting in their XI, though he won't just walk in. If we take off our tinted glasses for a second, it's not a bad move at all for the guy. The only reason he'd be better off here is because he was here last season - give it a few weeks and he'll be up to speed with Forest and probably at a club which can offer him more minutes and still a promotion challenge. We lost Hogg and bought in Iriney and McGugan, plus Smith and Murray who were barely contending to get into the squad this time last year. There are effectively three extra players competing for the spot he'd want to play in at Watford. Good luck to him.
I called it back on page 9 by the way. #itk. I agree with JH93 though, in all seriousness, I've never been convinced that he wanted to come back. He's young, been there and done it with us. It was pretty obvious to me that he'd fancy a new challenge with a different style of play etc.
Forest fans are happy. Tbh he's a great player and anyone who says we don't miss him need to look at the clip in this thread of our game at Brighton last year. http://www.forestforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=38529&page=2
I'm a little gutted to be honest... particularly as he's gone there of all places. It's a shame that "wages." has actually come back to bite us, but it seems like that was the killer in this one. Good luck to NC - however if he stays beyond his initial spell until January - not against us, and I hope he rues his club's decision not to let him return here.
So that's two targets missed; Carroll and Chalobah. I thought we were supposed to be a good place for players to come under the Pozzos.
Complaining that his day was tiring. Clearly his legs are shot. Anybody else hear similar comforting rumours? #dodgedabullet
