You're all forgetting that so far McGugan has been pretty decent for us. I'd rather the experience over Chalobah right now. Our team shouldn't change just to fit a player in. Right now, he'd only make the bench at the expense of Connor Smith.
I'm still not sure about McGugan... he certainly has the talent but he frustrates in equal measure. Would like to see him making an easy pass instead of opting for a useless 30 yard shot (even if it did benefit us on Saturday.)

Give Murray or Smith the pitch time we gave Nath last season and they too could impress us all, leave them on the bench while improving a Chelsea player and they could both get fed up and ask to leave. So Yes I would much rather develop our own, I don't think it will be hugely detrimental to the team, because although I do agree he is a currently a slightly better player, that really doesn't justify bringing him in at the expense of one of our own.
The deal was terminated if it ever had legs to start with doyley. I presume he'll end up at a Championship club some time during this season as he seeks to regain match fitness and sharpness.
