Well I am really disappointed that he wont be here next season. I struggle to know who would regularly keep him out of the team. If he can play against Real Madrid, Athletico Madrid, Barcelona and the rest, and is a full international, I think he could have done well here. But, of course, I dont know him as well as the Club.
We'll never see him in a Watford shirt unfortunately, but will be a good bit of business for the Pozzo's if they can get a good season out of him at Udinese.
I agree, can only presume it's down to our likely formation. He definitely looks far better suited to playing out wide than down the middle at this stage in his career. He is one of the highest rated teenagers in world football at the moment - ok, that doesn't always translate into a world class career but there was a chance that we could have seen a really great player at the start of his career. I can't really see it happening now unless he has a poor season in Udinese and his stock falls - if he continues to develop on the trajectory he's currently on, he'll leave at the end of next season for a much bigger club.
Yes, and I thought that Mozzarella was more about wide men than, say, QSF. I could see him causing the likes of Hull, Burnley, West Brom, Boro, Sunderland, Muff and Swansea, serious problems. But you are probably right, that wont happen.
I still think he will play for us. If your turning down 30 odd million for Deeney, same for Ighalo, how much more realistically are you going to get for him after one season in Italy? Obviously the circumstances with Deeney and Ighalo are different, but money's money at the end of the day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
True but the club could have had an early tip off from the home office that it was likely to fail, or the club may just feel it's likely to fail under the current circumstances i.e. nationality/age/full international appearances/current value etc. It therefore makes sense to ship him out to Udi (assuming they can get a permit/visa in Italy of course)
Lots of Spanish football fans on Peñaranda's FB page claiming he's off to Sevilla. Whether that'd be on loan or not I have no idea. Frustrating for us though to see him not getting more game time at Udinese.
Tbh he doen't fit in Udineses formation at the moment, can't do him any harm if he's off to the team that's top of La Liga (provided it's on loan rather than a perm, then I have a few different words to say!)
Would make sense not sure whether or not this has been mentioned yet but Adalberto Peñaranda needs to be in Spain for another year to gain Spanish citizenship.
Am I missing something? This bloke is attracting interest from the likes of Sevilla at 19 and he's on loan instead of in the Watford squad?
Angel Gomes is attracting admiring glances from every club in the world, and yet he hasn't even featured in Man Utd's first team. Top teams want to sign young players who will grow into stars. That does not mean they are ready for first team action right away. Peneranda is one of the best talents in the world, but he needs first team football in an environment away from a potential relegation battle.
Might as well, he is hardly getting a look in at Udinese. His direct running style would suit the Prem.
Wouldn't last 5 minutes before he got tackled and ended up on the treatment table for the next six months.
Couldn't get a work permit before. Even less likely to get one now as he's lost his place in the national team and isn't playing any games in a top European league.
You appear to have ruled out him being an ill disciplined terd though so that's one of the three categories of Watford player out of the running.
