https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adalberto_Peñaranda This guy features in the Under 20 top 50 world footballers, bought by Udinada so maybe one day?
Much like Crystal Palace infamously running out of the letter I because of Aki Riihilahti, I fear the Watford shop would run out 'A's. http://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=82&story=543
I think that Peñaranda will only end up here if either Granada get relegated, or if he specifically asks Pozzo if he can ply in the Premier League. He'd be a quality addition either way though.
I think Success looks a tiny bit better, but either would be great. As El Distraido says though, unless Granada get relegated or the players push for a move I can't imagine them coming here. Also work permits could be a big problem for them until they've had more international caps.
I think Roji said that the only other non-Spanish players to score as many in La Liga as he has, by his age, were Messi and Aguero. Definite potential, but right now he's best placed at Granada - for the player and for the team.
Both Success and Penaranda are certainly staying at Granada, where they are badly needed, for the season. Both seem very very good prospects. For next season, we'll see. I'd like to have both at Udinese, but I think Success could be particularly apt for English football so he might end up at WFC (to be "shown" in the most lucrative shopping window: Premier League). I can see Penaranda stay at least one more season at Granada (or on loan to another Liga team if they should be relegated), in order to gain a precious Spanish passport after 2 years of residence in Spain (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spani...h_nationality_by_naturalisation_and_residence).
When the rumours were flying about that, Gino Pozzo denied clearly in an interview to ideal.es (Granada's wobby) he has any intention of selling Granada or even shares of it, saying negotiations were only about commercial agreements.
Apparently, we have "bought" him from Granada and loaned him back to our brothers to protect him from going elsewhere. Granted I am going off rumours/possible ITK/possible fake ITK and I've seen a Watford fan report this, but it's also on Granada forums as well and I've not seen anyone doubt the person who wrote it on there. It's about time we helped them after all the help they gave us Edit: http://granadacf.ideal.es/noticias/201602/01/penaranda-pasara-propiedad-watford-20160201202626.html
Hopefully Granada will get a decent sell on clause from us when we sell Ighalo to Utd for 40 mill in summer.
My god the Pozzos are brilliant. Granada are starting to benefit from our Premier League status and money now, let's hope Udinese get a bit of help next window!
Yep. I guess Udinese want to help us (I dunno). Can't really understand it personally apart from maybe just trying to show where we are in the Pozzo hierarchy
Release clauses aren't compulsory in Italian contracts are they? Wonder why Udinese didn't just give him a new contract?
WD just said it's him. He'll be loaned back to Granada for the rest of the season, and will join us next season. They say he's the best talent to come out of South America since Messi.
Did I not see someone comment on another thread that Penaranda needs to stay in Spain for another year to claim Spanish citizenship. I guess thats why he will come to us when that is all tied up. Maybe i'm wrong, but it makes sense, as i assume he would get a work permit easier
