I'm not trying to gang up on anyone, I have better things to do, so don't flatter yourself.

You're right, the discussion hasn't directly involved me, but as this is an open message board I'm well within my rights to contribute.

I can tell you've got into a huff now, so I'll leave you to get off your high horse now.

Yes, it is an open message board. But don't join a discussion with a personal attack. Perhaps you might want to add something constructive instead.

You may also want to not make it so obvious that you and Chewitt are friends if you are going to gang up on someone.

You made a t*t out of yourself (spelling/punctuation mistake or not), and I wouldn't say 'Don't you look silly' is a 'personal attack'. If you deem that as a personally attack you must lead a pretty sheltered life.

What difference does it make if Chewitt and I are friends? He could be my worst enemy and I'd still have flagged your non-sensical drivel up as what it was. And for the last time, I'm not 'ganging up' on anyone.

I'm not going to bother wasting my time replying to this post anymore, if you want to carry this on find someone else to argue with. Adios.

Appreciate these updates on how our loan players are doing Nak, always find its nice to know how our younger players are getting on. He's performing well at a higher level than the likes of O'Toole and Loach were at Wealdstone, at similar ages so that can only be a good sign.

Personally i like to try and keep an eye out for how the younger lads who haven't quite made it here, or are trying to make it here, are getting on, as they try to make a career for themselves. Sad perhaps in the eyes of some, but i'm sure we all do things that others will class as sad, just not all of us feel the need to point it out.

You are absolutely right on both points but I'm worried you are losing your edge.

Yes, there used to be an edginess to your posts but now you are sounding like a mature and responsible member of society. Maybe you're tired/hungover?

This tiresome world has broken my spirit. My edginess has to be saved for weekends now.

I'm finding less motivation to post lately, i've slipped into lurking mode but i felt Nak was taking some pretty unfair heat considering he helps a lot of people with his reports etc.

Don't worry though, i'm far from a mature or responsible member of society

I thought it might be that and glad to hear you haven't mellowed too much. I also enjoy and appreciate nak's informative posts and hope he isn't deterred.

I would lke to add to this that Nak is always on the shoutbox whenever Watford play so is unlikely to have notched up many games... just a thought as he is always on it on the few ties I miss a game updating us on basically anything that appears on the skysports vidiprinter...

I admit I dont get to go to many first team games but I have seen players like Bennett play alot due to me going to practically all home reserve games.

I'm hopeful that I'll be going to all of Watfords first team home games for the rest of the season and I already have tickets for the next 3 home games.

Personally i would keep Marriappa as a back up for loanee Hoyte. Sell Williams once hes back to full fitness. Get rid of Doyley and buy another Left-Back in place of Hoyte when he leaves :)

williams i doubt will get back to full fitness and anyway who would buy him

Why would we sell Doyley when he is playing better than he has ever been. Have you actually been to a Watford game recently?

We should sell Hoskin and L.Williamson this would help finance new players coming into the club next season to help to push for a play off place at the least. It seem that they are both exposed at this level and I think BR as reckonised this

  21. wfc-4ever

I disagree willo is our best centre mid (minus cork as he isn't ours) and hoskins' is a different kind of striker to the others we have.

  22. Chewitt

Neither Hoskins or L.Williamson would be missed if they were sold.

Really? I thought Hoskins was admired, and Williamson even more so. He'd be first choice centre midfielder if Cork wasn't here.

  24. Chewitt

    Chewitt Forum Extraordinaire

Hoskins is admired by Olzy and Olzy alone, he's a useful player but Priskin and Rasiak are scoring goals when they play, Hoskins isn't. Williamson has gone off the boil of late and i'm sure he's replaceable.

  25. wfc-4ever

Do you think that we should buy 30 year old rasiak then at the end of the season?

  26. Chewitt

    If he's cheap, then yes.

  27. wfcwarehouse

    wfcwarehouse First Team Captain

Disagree, I wouldn't be too disheartened if Hoskins moved on but I'd like to see us keep L.Williamson, he's been a decent player for us for the most part - definitely worth having round the squad.

If the price is right then yes, definitely. Whenever he plays he seems to score.

  28. 555ROB

Why would we want to sell LW when he is one of our best midfielders (Cork isn't our yet!!!).
    Hoskins is ok
Rasiak should be bought if the price is right and wages not too high (we need 3 proven strikers to get out of the ccc next year).

Some supporters have got undoubtable short memories before Lee Willo sustained his ankle injury he was (Tommy Smith apart) one of our best players this season. He has not started more than 2-3 games since. He will be back , selling him would be stupid unless anyone comes up with stupid money

  30. wfc-4ever

    wfc-4ever Squad Player

I agree and hoskins did his job when asked months back when he was scoring and performing well but now he can't often get in the team. Personally i think they both should be at least on the bench for most games. Some games it would be useful having hoskins work rate and movement upfront. I think that they are both very good players at championship level.

The end of 2010 is going to be interesting. There are a lot of players due to go.

BR will have to make a few decisions over teh summer about who he keeps and who he moves on.

I can see Hoskins moving on maybe Marriappa, Rasiak going back to Soton, but a few of the youngsters being given 6 months of so to prove themselves

  32. 555ROB

I hope Rasiak stays provided he gets realistic about his wages.
Who will replace Marriappa (and he's cover for CB)?

    Poom- Release
    Doyley- New Deal
    Lee- Not sure
    Kabba- Release
    Mariappa- New Deal
    Williams- Retiring
    Young- Not Sure
    Henderson- Not Sure
    Bennett- Not sure

    That's my opinion.

Mariappa and Doyley are certain to get new deals as being first team regulars. I think with Poom will be gone as we have Loach, Rich(will most properly sign a new 1-year-deal or something) and Searle.

I think everyone knows Kabba will be off too and i personally think Williams will call it a day towards the end of the season.

Others i am unsure about i think come end of the season he will take a look at them all and decide whether to other them new deals.

Agreed but probably keep young, henderson and bennett on 1 year deals to see how they progress.

  35. wfcwarehouse

I'd like to see us keep Poom on. He may be getting on abit, but he's pound for pound our best all-round keeper and done little wrong when he played for us. I'm still baffled by the stick he got by some on here.
