I don't dispute that it does. But it shouldn't matter.

I think the difference with us as opposed to some other clubs is that it is only one stand that ever sings and creates an atmosphere, so attacking that end second half when usually the game is in the balance will create more of an atmosphere.

So attacking the Rookery with that in mind and with the slope when players are tiring has to be the best option, I always have a sad little feeling in my heart when we attack the Rookery first half.

I agree with the poster earlier who said that if we win the toss we should be doing this, I assumed that we lost it last game so surprised they chose that option.

I guess Deeney didn't agree. Maybe he wanted us to be leading in the first half with the 'only stand that sings' fully behind them from the first minute as opposed to waiting til the second half to create more of an atmosphere.

All in all, I find it a little crazy that fans are actually bothered by this. This, along with the fact that the 1881 sadly have no control over who actually sits with them are two things I've learnt this season.

I agree, it would be great to have all four stands that hone fans sit in getting behind the team but other than the Rookery it is only kids in the family area who Harry does well to get involved a few times a game by banging his drum.

But yes you are right it should be different.

I agree that it's obviously a tactic they discussed. Perhaps after the Arsenal game they thought that we needed a boost early on. Maybe the team analysed games and found that stoke started slowly so a positive start would be to face the Rookery early on rather than later, or that Stoke always played badly when they faced south in the first half. Maybe the sun was going to be low in the second half that would affect the keeper. Perhaps the wind was blowing in the wrong direction.

Whatever the reason, I'm sure it wasn't a whim that TD just got out of bed that morning and felt like! It's just that on the day we weren't good enough.

Opposite the turnstiles to go into the Rookery (1881 area), there's some steps down which eventually lead to the hospital car park. It's pretty much down the bottom of there on the right, not been round there on matchday but presume they have a few of them standing around.
