I sit near the 1881 and it has improved mine and both of my children's experiences. We don't join in with any of the songs with bad language but my boys like listening to some of them. If anyone doubts the impact a singing section make they just need to look at Palace. I remember going there in the 90's and thinking what a poor atmosphere there was. Now every time they are on telly the commentators remark on the atmosphere.

I love you. So there we are. Your equalising goal would be a thing of beauty. Hit me with it ...

And there it is. Sweetly struck into the back of the net before I had time to make my amendment (get back on the goal-line). A few beers after a meeting is my only excuse but obviously it's wise to take advantage of your opponent's shortcomings. I've had treatment for the last 16 hours and am now back on the pitch.

1-1 it is then and it's not even HT yet. It's just so exciting. No-one knows where the next goal's coming from. A split-infinitive scorpion-kick? A rogue apostrophe back-heel? Even Ken Connolly's on his feet ...

Club already starting to lay down the way of the future to the Ken Connolly's for next season.

And bloody well written. A lot of thought has gone into that. Both the process and the communication.

It's great to see this from the club, they've been supportive all along but this demonstrates to the masses that they are fully behind the 1881.

Prob being thick here but does that mean the 1881 are moving slightly more central or there has been such demand it is being expanded? Either way it's great news.

RS1 is behind RS5 so they anticipate more standing towards the back rather than towards the middle.

The 1881 club should be hugely proud of what they've achieved. Wembley against Palarse was the first time I've cried at a football match, for two reasons - the team didn't turn up and the fans, who had been so vocal on the train and in the pub before hand, were deathly silent - I couldn't wait to get back down to sunny Brighton that day. Since then the 1881 club have been nothing less than fantastic, even if we did get called c**** for not singing when we were supposed to!

I sit in rs5 and i am attached to my seat i have sat there for 17 years now thats longer than some fans have been alive, i love a good atmosphere but i am not moving and if forced to move i will be done watching Watford, i have no problem the 1881 being around my seat i would love to join in, but my sentimental attachment to my little space in the rookery means alot to me.

Age or infirmity means that not everyone can stand for 90minutes - being unable to do so doesn't make you less of a supporter.
My viewing point at the Vic has changed lots over the years, although I haven't seen many games from the Shrodell's side - watching Watford is good from any spot.

I've been watching tham for longer than you've been alive. The two main places where I used to watch the horns are no longer there, we no longer have standing. Since then I have watched us play in all corners of the ground, not the new SEJ though but I'm sure the view is the same as ever was. You get used to watching from one place, it aint always the best place but it's yours, but there is no differnce to watching the team that I love, they have been great/average/awful from wherever I've seen them. They are great/amazing/brilliant from wherever you watch them

Decide if you like the new Rookery, if it's not for you ther are loads of great views an stands for you to move to, I promise you. Find where you're happy and keep behind The Horns

    Great work by the club.

Surest sign so far that the 1881 has the flexibility to expand beyond its current location without compromising or obstructing the viewing of the game for fellow supporters.

If your attachment to your seat is more important to you than your attachment to your club then I'd suggest you have your priorities wrong.

Christ on a bike. It says pretty bloody clearly no one is under any obligation to move; though they are even offering you higher value seats for the same price if anyone chooses to do so.

To threaten to be done with Watford is simply juvenile. To be a bigger fan of a seat than the club is bizarre.

Er ... Peeps need to actually read what he's written. He loves his seat and the 1881.

However I'm not sure if he will when he can no longer see the pitch for 90 minutes

  31. PhilippineOrn

    PhilippineOrn First Team

    Maybe you do too.

Since he loves his seat what prompted him to say he will quit going to Watford if he is forced to move, especially when no such threat has been made?

I don't think the club could have been any the more accommodating to all concerned and he comes out with that sulking missive.

  32. The Voice of Reason

The Voice of Reason First Team Captain

It has been made quite clear no one will be forced to move, the club is just extending the courtesy of letting people know that most fans in that area are likely to be very vocal and stand a lot. Furthermore the club is offering any one who is unhappy with being in that vocal area the opportunity of a free upgrade if they want to move out of the area.

No one will be forced to move, and it appears that our friend is quite happy to stay where he is anyway, so I don't quite understand why he has posted his threat to cease supporting Watford in the 1st place?

Sounds to me that the club are putting the interests of a vocal minority over the needs of the thousands of silent folk who just want to sit and moan about Vydra not being committed enough.

Next they'll. Be changing he shirt colours and relocating the team to the Isle of wight.

You have nothing to worry about .... the announcement very clearly says no-one will be forced to move.

BTW I'd recommend you start to subscribe to Hornets Player so you at least have some idea of what's going on on the pitch ... staring at someone's backside for 90 minutes might not be a whole lot of fun.

Silent folk who just want to sit and moan? How does that work precisely?
