If he has a full season like he ended this one that's a £30m midfielder

 

He didn't just score a great goal v West Brom, he also played a ridiculously good ball through for Deeney to score. Against Burnley, his whipped cross for Deeney to score was pure class and his header was also impressive. In roughly the same amount of games as Pereyra he has assisted or scored approx as many. Some people only desire graft, and that's fine because that's the limit of their imagination. Who knows if he has the balls and talent to be a top player in this league, but I'd rather find that out with him wearing our shirt that someone else's. Is 2 goals and 2 assists flattering to deceive in ateam where he has essentially been asked to play deeper than his talent warrants.

 

Is that the same Doucoure that many fans were happy to get rid of as he didn't feature in WMs early plans?

 

Just seen a picture on twitter of him laughing at Doucoure for having to stay at Watford. Then laughing saying, basically, thank God it's his last day.

But let's keep blaming Walter.

Remind me,how many young wingers are consistent then? If he was,he'd still be with Milan,unless of course,you laughingly think we are at their level. It is players like Niang who entice people into football grounds in the first place,no doubt you'd prefer ten Watson's,zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!

 

A shame that Niang has decided not to stay here, but with Alec being such a key reason to him joining (and then news being released of Alec leaving after the Man City game) it's no surprise that he's chosen to go back to Milan.

He's clearly got plenty of ability, and as others have commented, if he could show this for 90 mins every game then he would be playing for a top club, rather than being at Watford. I think he has the potential to grow into a very good player, and I'm sorry it won't be with us, but if he doesn't want to play for us then best for all parties that we send him packing after Man City.

It appears that Niang has told Sky directly. A bit surprised him and his agent haven't wasted any time but obviously does not want to stay. AC Milan may not be so pleased unless there are other suitors waiting in the wings. Shame but I'm sure Ginormous will have this covered.

 

I'm surprised he was quite so tied to Mazzarri, but I don't think it's a major loss for us or for him.

With Niang it's all about what he might become, rather than what he is now. A great debut against a 10 man side, plus a good game against West Brom. He only showed glimpses, but was anonymous for the majority of the time.

He looked completely lost as the central forward at Chelsea.

For me, he took away an opportunity for Success, who IS our player. I'd rather we keep Success and give him a lot more game time. Niang is probably a little too precious, and somewhere down the line, there would have been issues no doubt.

 

After today's showing, I would imagine that Niang is on his way to Heathrow now. Thanks for the 2 decent performances. The rest was *****. I would imagine he'll be plying his trade with a mid table French team next season.

He has the skills in his locker to be a top player, but he has the work ethic of a drunken sloth. He will end up being just another could have been.

 

I think he's talented, but most Prem defences quickly worked out how to nullify him. He might be able to produce the occasional bit of magic now & then against lesser sides but we need more than that.

 

There was a point in the second half against Man City that summed up Mr Showboat Niang. He could've slipped a simple ball through for Okaka to be away and in on the keeper one on one.

But, oh no, Niang advances himself, deliberately holding the ball too long for Okaka to have an opportunity. Instead Niang plays a one-two so that he can get the ball back and hope, and it's only hope, for glory himself.

But Niang, showing all the passion and talent he did at running into cul-de-sacs at Hull and Crystal Palace (where their defenders had him for breakfast), simply lost the ball, having it nicked off him.

When play stopped Okaka rightly told the selfish immature Frenchman exactly what he thought of that (which wasn't good) and continued his tirade at the next corner.

Niang only played for himself, not the team.

he turned out to be absolute droppings so good riddance, but him being desperate to leave and no doubt slagging the club off in the coming weeks is not good at all if we want to attract high profile players to the club.

 

Unless waiting for the new manager to be appointed and to decide on him you’d think the club would know already so they should just announce it as soon as possible either way and put it to bed, stop the speculation and wish him well on his way etc.
