Hislop probably better hope the Pozzos don't hear that or he might be getting a word or two from their lawyers!

Im sure £17m can buy us an attacker who scores/assists against Burnley and WBA next season

Lots of potential but just seems like one of those players. Could be a superstar but happy to not push himself. Letting his hype a couple of seasons ago do the talking for him. Eventually he will end up at team like Nice or Marseille. Has the same feel as a Balotelli/Capoue. All the ability but can't be bothered most the time. When on it, amazing to watch, but only ever on it once every eight games or so.

    Not sad at all.
Obviously talented and can make things happen on his day but those days are too far between, €18 million for 2 good games?! No thanks.
Maybe Mazzarri's tactics didn't help him but he had plenty of the ball and kept trying to beat 8 players and bang it top corner. Very rarely took the sensible/better option.
We need to be looking at more consistent players imo, even if they may not be as talented.

Massive wages and fee. He is welcome to look elsewhere and we can sign someone more consistent.

A pity really as I think he might well become a very good player, but it's not the end of the world I'm sure we will find a decent if not better replacement.

Maybe this will give Success a chance to play for more than the obligatory 10 minutes as a sub, as they seem to both be deployed in similar positions. Would be happy enough to see more of him under a new manager who will hopefully push him on.

If true, let him go..think we built him up & rated perhaps a little too highly based on a few good initial games. Something us as fans can sometimes be guilty of.

There is a reason Milan are trying to get shot of & we are is his third loan in as many seasons..something not completely stacking up here.

......& character wise, thinking he could be Marlon Kings love child.

At the beginning of the 2012–13 season, Niang was stopped by the police in Milan for driving without a driver's license. It was reported that Niang told the Carabinieri police that he was teammate Bakaye Traoré, an act which he subsequently denied

In February 2014, Niang crashed his Ferrari into a tree and was sentenced to a suspended 18-month jail sentenced for an alleged hit-and-run accident which left 11 others injured. The player was also charged with endangering people's lives and driving without a licence.

In March 2016, Niang had been involved in a car crash over the weekend, though it was made clear he was not under the influence of alcohol. Milan confirmed that Niang has suffered an injury to the capsular ligament in his left ankle, as well as bruising to his left shoulder following a car accident.

In June 2016, Niang who just came back from a 2-month lay off due to a car accident, jumped off the roof of his house into a pool and posted a video on social media. It drew criticism from fans and people alike, who branded him an 'idiot' and a 'clown' for performing this dangerous stunt. There were rumors that the club were furious with this and were prepared to sell him during the summer window.

Won't really lose any sleep over it. Plenty of talent out there ready to take up the fight.

  10. Bubble

    Great news.

Has good potential and ability but is he really much better than Isaac Success or Penaranda?

  11. JK HORNET

Would be a shame if true as I think Niang could become a very good player in the next few years. Given given the option I'd sign him without hesitation, but if sacking Mazzarri does mean Niang won't sign I'll get over it pretty quickly. Id rather lose both than keep both any day of the week. Mazzarri has too much baggage for Niang to make up for

Success should be given more game time anyway and I'd try getting Berghuis to come back under a new manager. now we just need to get amrabat out the door and try signing at least 1 more winger, and a winger/striker, but it seems a relatively easy situation to sort out

**** him. Heart of a mouse. Only plays for himself. He was owned by the Hull full backs and others recently. We've dodged a bullet if true.

Surely terms and fees were agreed as part of the option to buy. Niang would have signed that deal, so how can he now reject it?

    Knight GT Predictor extraordinaire 2013/14

Little bit of a shame but he came here because of Mazarri so I guess it's not a great shock. Certainly has ability but considering we have Pereyra and Berghuis coming back it's not the end of the world.

On the basis of the last match, good.

  17. Brought in stop gap because of injuries, included an option that we never had to take, and after no duscussion with the player's agent, Niang does a Smashy and Nicey as earlier mentioned. Job done.

Disappointed. He was my new boo boy.

Like Whippendell said, we've dodged a bullet there. Imagine that lazy **** on a permanent contract.

Maybe we went back and offered him less.

Maybe any deal was contingent on us finishing above a certain place in the league.

Maybe any deal with contingent on Mazzarri staying.

There were mutterings about we wanted to renegotiate the 'option to buy' deal we had and pay less than originally agreed.

Perhaps he got the hump that we wanted him cheap.

Anyway, if this is true, I'll be sad to see him go and us lose his potential. Still, as others have mentioned, if we have £17 million set aside to spend, I don't doubt we can find a replacement who's just as good.

    Promised much, delivered very little.

    In conclusion: I couldn't give a single **** that he's gone.

Maybe, but unlikely. An option to buy is just that. If it's heavily qualified and performance based then its not an option, it's a possibility.

Maybe aliens warned him not to join as when they invade, it starts in Watford.

Maybe a shard of frozen waste will fall from an spacecraft WC and break the model of the Eiffel Tower Gino is making for Niang. In which case I can see the whole deal breaking down.

Nowhere near good enough to be losing sleep about this decision. In fact I would have said he's squad player at best. Great goal v wba though.

They are already here amongst us.

Rumour has it that they ve not yet made it to Watford , but when the Croxley Link gets finished they will defo make the trip if they can ......

....but if they do it will likely be en route to the Harry Potter museum meaning they will go from Kings Cross anyway just so they can do the whole platform 9 and 3/4 thing , which will mean they ll prob come into the Junction anyway as the Leavesden Bus goes from there .

Either way they said they d let us know ...

....you can't miss them , they re the ones carrying round the an@l probes .

But we also need players with the talent to unlock Prem defences. His goal and assist in each of the Burnley and WBA games was the difference. Niangs talent with Doucoures engine would handy though.

  35. Hairyfrog

    Hairyfrog Squad Player

But he doesn't have Doucoure's engine, stamina, guts, commitment or decision making, he scored a great goal against West Brom and then tried to repeat it every time he played, often running into a dead end and losing the ball, rather than look up and play the sensible ball.
I have been saying he flatters to decieve for some time now, and unless he gets his head out of his ass, he will never realise his potential, and become just another "could have been"
