Not sure about the first question . Probably when the clubs and police have their say. NL sides definitely through are : Chesterfield obviously Maidstone Eastleigh Potentially Barnet Aldershot Alfreton
I agree. One FA Cup would trump Luton's one League Cup and we would be relegated anyway sooner or later.
Red card was rescinded I think. Not sure what the ref thought he saw. P S. Paul Mullin looks older than he is then?
haha the state of some of those televised ties in the 3rd Round. Palace v Everton and Spurs v Burnley, lol just no s**** given anymore.
ITV, who have no other football coverage other than international tournaments have to justify their outlay on the FA Cup with viewing figures and advertising revenue. Their choices reflect that. Guaranteed PL fanbases watching both games and more neutrals will watch this over Maidstone vs Port Vale or Watford vs Chesterfield. A channel who couldn’t get anywhere near live PL football even during the pandemic will show two PL games. ITV bosses will be delighted with the choices.
Only time we will be on T.V is if we reached the Semi or Final - just to be nationally humiliated again when we're drawn against you know who.
I can get most of them and Man Utd are on whoever they play but the top 2 are a joke. I couldn't think of two games more likely to make me not watch than those two. Surely the below would be better Stoke vs Brighton Posh vs Leeds Gillingham vs Sheff Utd QPR vs Bournemouth In fact any game apart from the two they chose
Was very even for the first 25% of the game. We signalled how seriously we were taking the game by playing our reserve keeper because he’d been promised the cup games and was a really nice bloke.
Yes but not many wins out of 60 games against the big 6 in those 5 seasons. 10 games against each …plus cup games too.
Not sure it’s a minority view. I certainly agree, just doubted we’d ever get the chance to actually win it . If only Swansea had held on and knocked out Citeh (in the QF or 6th round ?).
Saturday 3pm kick off. https://twitter.com/WatfordFC/status/1733177654205882822?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^tweet
£10 an adult ticket, on sale to ST holders from Monday. Chesterfield have the whole away end. Dare I say… a sensible decision from the club?
As the receipts are shared between both clubs and the FA getting a cut, the ticket prices have to be agreed by all parties.
Our defeat will be the biggest shock of the round. Maybe give the reserve keeper Bachmann a run out ? See what he's made of ?
Decent pricing for the game . £10 for adults and a fiver for concessions. https://www.watfordfc.com/news/ticket/home-tickets-chesterfield-information
Hi guys Chesterfield fan here We have sold out in the VR end some 3500 tickets which were allocated to us with no more available, not even gone on general sale only to ST holders I’m I right to say that this end holds 5800 ish? If so why wouldn’t they give us the full amount?
I think there is a restriction due to the small concourse under the seats. Not sure of the exact numbers available.
If it ever held 5800 it was a long time ago, probably when it was first opened in the 90s. Since then it’s been split in half to host the family enclosure and the away end, so has a hefty segregation line down the middle. It used to be segregated only by netting, which could be removed if needed, but since our PL stint they added permanent barriers and disabled viewing platforms, and I’m not sure if the seats in between were removed. Plus it became home to a tv camera gantry, which takes up more space. Then as @FromDiv4 says, the stand itself was poorly designed and the concourse underneath is very cramped. I’m sure Santa’s elf and safety gang have got involved to limit numbers for that reason too. Finally, we only have to give you 15% of capacity in the FA Cup, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we’ve pulled that card too even if there were more than 3500 allowed in theory. 3500/22000 = 16% ish. Think we gave Tranmere about the same in 2020.
Fully understand the min 15% but surly it’s better to have a full end than half empty if you guys aren’t going to sellout? re concourse being cramped how does it cope in league games if all sold out any games?
Tbh don’t think it does very often ! As the guys suggest it’s not fit for purpose to manage a full stand .
Even palace couldn't sell out the vic road end when we played them in the cup in 2019. No point in opening it up, away fans are too scared to ever sell it out in full.
It barely copes. And of course the big difference is home fans in the family end can and do spread out to the neighbouring concourse in the Upper GT stand as we can walk round between stands at our stadium. Your fans obviously won’t be able to do that.
I think they could put in temporary segregation of the Vicarage road end if they thought it economically worthwhile. They have already said to the Family End season ticket holders they need to move. on a different topic, once bought Will tickets automatically download. Or do you have to do the distribution by email thing on the website?
