Ignore the naysayers mate. Our away supporter base is now made up of a group of 5 podcasters who get free tickets and their various hanger-ons who lack the very basics of personal hygiene. Enjoy the day.
I checked at about 10 this morning, assuming that Chesterfield sell all their 4,000 tickets, then as it stood at that time would give a gate just short of 16,000 but of course there is still a good while to go for more sales. Also of course, there won't be season ticket no shows so should be a good turnout. bought my ticket yesterday evening.
Just read the past few pages. The thick supporters of two shyt tinpot clubs who've won precisely fhuq all in their entire histories, arguing about which team is marginally less pathetic? Christ.
I see the club aren't selling tickets to those with Fan ID's set up after the 4th December. Therefore, any Chesterfield United fans out there who want to buy a ticket for £100? Can meet you by the Luther Blissett statue pre-match.
Saw on Chesterfield fans forum, lots of them had signed up for fan ID and bought tickets, so WFC obviously got wise to it. But why 4th Dec, seems a bit early maybe 20th or so, just in case any genuine WFC supporter may have recently signed up.
Hardly going to be a rush of genuine new Watford fans falling over themselves to get tickets for this one.
Coming up on Saturday with my daughter and my nephew and looking forward to it! I'm expecting some changes - Andrews, Hoedt, Kone, Livermore the most likely to be given a rest? Team something like - GK Bachmann RB Dele-Bashiru LB Morris CB Porteous CB Pollock CDM Sierralta CM Louza CM Chakvetadze ST Healey LF - Martins RF - Ince Subs - Hamer, Asprilla, Rajovik and a bunch of U21's (unless they have a game?)
Really no point in playing Louza. He gives no effort when it's a league game so I doubt he will break a sweat against a non league side alongside our other reserves. Just sell him to Udinese today ......for £16m. Grieves should get a game and throw a couple of kids in .... we will lost this match anyway.
Maybe a good chance to try Healey in the withdrawn forward role he's been playing in recently. Something like this: Bachmann Dele-Bashiru - Pollock - Porteous - Morris Ince - Chakvetadze - Sierralta - Martins Rajovic - Healey
Ticket query - does it download to my phone or do I have to print it off? I'll try calling the office to check if nobody knows.
I'm thinking a rather large bet on Chesterfield to pay for the evening out afterwards. We all know it's coming.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see something like this: Bachmann TDB Pollock Porteous Morris Louza Sierralta Chak Ince Healey Sema A bunch of the academy lads (Grieves, Roberts etc) to fill the bench. Can’t see Martins, Asprilla, Hoedt being involved We will probably win 1-0 in a dire game
I won't settle for anything less than a complete annihilation of these part-timers. Watford 6 - Chester Field 0 Rajovic hat-trick, Healey, Ince and Asprilla.
I thought Sema was out for a month? Even if he was on his way back already I doubt he'd be risked on this. Aside from that it could well be similar to what you've put - albeit I think there's a good chance Grieves starts in CM, perhaps meaning Chak moves to LW instead of where you've put Sema. It would be good if we had more academy players ready to play to also keep the likes of TDB, Morris, Porteous and Chak fresh, but I'm not sure there are. Perhaps there's an outside chance Adu-Poku could play on the wing.
I'm sorry but you're being incredibly disrespectful to Chesterdale. Just because they're a part time outfit doesn't mean we shouldn't treat them exactly the same as any other team that visits the Vic.
