Rod is a plastic tho isn't he ?.
Jumped on his ancestry during the 70s when "England cannae do it cos they didnae qualify" and is stuck with it . Has paid the price ever since .

 

I think by virtue of a few holidays I’ve spent more time in Scotland than Rod.

 

In the few moments I’ve watched any TV coverage this weekend, I’ve developed an internal KLAXON for every time someone bangs on about the Queen being knowledgeable about something.

I would have thought you might have appreciated the BBC’s loyalty to the Crown.

Does show how daft it is when people accuse it of being nothing but ‘woke’. It can be very establishment indeed.

 

Had to give a speech at our local party and say 'god save the queen' through my teeth as a staunch Republican.

I love democracy but I love a community piss up more.

I'm not woke but I genuinely care. I may not be able to make much of a difference tho .

I can, sort of, get the Jockanese stuff (even when a ladles it on during chat shows in a thick Norf Lahndan accent) as his dad was a Sweaty (married to an English girl) and moved to Highgate where Rod was born. What I can't get is he's a ManUre support (and had trials with Brentford) - I mean there are a shortage of clubs in that part of the world?

A bonus long weekend for a few days in Devon was lovely, and I largely managed to avoid too much of this jubilee nonsense.

 

We too missed all the shenanigans, the ‘entertainment’, the waves from the balcony and the street party in our close by being in Andalusia (we still are). Of course it also meant we missed England’s dodgy test win, the limp capitulation to Hungary and Johnson’s glorious vindication by more than half (just) of his loyal Tory MPs, but there you are.

 

Missed the entire weekend…preferred to celebrate with Liam at Knebworth. Now that was a concert!
