Also got in Agbonlahor, sent him straight out on loan for 5 months, along with Mariappa, O'toole, Young, Kasper Schmeichel, James Dunne (youngster signed from arsenal for free)

Also, my scout found a 20 yr old swedish midfielder, David Súlla, sat in the reserves for 3 months, 4 goals, 7 assists, 13 games, now sent him out on loan to Crewe for 5 months

 

been at the club 4 and a half years and taken them from league 2 to the championship so guess there just showing some loyalty

Short story short...

First season (FM 07) got relegated, was given £2.6m to spend Kept my job and got in multiple loans and frees, not that i can remember many.

Came second behind Sheffield, so to save myself this time ive made alot of signings, plenty of funds and sold deadwood, got in...Pennant, Neville, Obi Mikel, Ben-Haim, Borre, Krankjar, Yakubu for £4.5m with add ons, Anelka on a free but will have to sell him,, Petrov from Villa and Park Ji Sung from manure on a season loan

won 3/3 so far, but was only WBA, Fulham & Wolves

Applied for the vancant England job and got it Got Boothroyd as my Assistant whos at Bolton

 

The international management on FM07 and games beforehand was awful, thankfully it's been revamped for FM08 with much more to do. Getting international jobs on 07 was daft, as mid-table league two Stockport i got the job I quit soon after as it's sh*t, they then pleaded with me to come back, i didn't.

Was Perugia for 2 seasons. Got them back into Serie A and had quite a strong squad as I resisted the urge to sell my big players.

Left Perugia because I couldn't stand the board overriding me on the transfer policy, and moved to England. Had a few offers come my way but haven't taken one yet. Just biding my time...

 

im top of the league with psg. got 4mil starting budget, bought leon andreason who has scored 8 in 20 which is pretty good for a 'dm' and i bought this wonderkid called wendell who you can only find sometimes as i did a new season and looked for him but i couldnt find him
i got bout 10 games left of this season, 1 point clear of lyon and in the equivalent of the carling cup final. sold rothen 4 free though cos he wouldnt accept my contract :dismay: d1ck :]]

 

Falcon, 20 year old spanish keeper who was offerd to me on loan and i took it for some reason even though i didnt need him, but my coachs said we should try to get him in perminatly as soon as possible as he has a great future. I started him against Norwich in the cup and he got MOTM so i kept playing him, always gets between 7-9

Can't remember the cost, but was between £1-3m

 

Gav Mahon just scored a hat trick for me as I beat top of the table Palace 5-3!!

Just a quick update as i've started playing again.


Season 1

Won the league with 107 points , i also got to the semi final of the league cup.

Season 2

After a tough season i ve manged to finish 12th with 46 points and i'm in the final of the fa cup against chelsea. I also had to sell Ben Foster during the january transfer window for £20 mill cash with £5mill after so many games and 30% of the next transfer fee.

I started a game on the newest patch.

Took over Mansfield in League Two. Signed Carl Asaba and Cherno Samba for some much needed fire power and after 40 games in League Two they had 18 and 28 goals respectively. Jody Morris playing in the hole behind the two of them meant that I scored a lot of goals, even if I conceded a few too.

My free scoring team fired me to top of the league after 40 games when Portsmouth offered me the job with 5 games to go in the Premiership season. They were lying 17th and were in danger of getting relegated.

I took the job and with 4 draws and a win managed to steer them to 14th. At the end of the season I splashed some cash on Lucien Aubey and Arouna Kone to strengthen my defence and strike force. Roy Maakay and Ludovic Guily came in for a combined total of 750k on 1 year contracts and just as the transfer window slammed shut I got Yossi Benayoun from Liverpool.

In January I was sitting 4th behind Chelsea who were running away with the league, Arsenal and United. By the end of the season I was second, having beaten Chelsea 5-3 on the last day of the season to move ahead of United.

Signed Viera (some Uruaguayan goalie) to replace James and Eduardo from Arsenal for £4m to replace Nugent who I sold to WBA for £3.5m ;D

Played one game of the third season and beat Fulham 2-1.

Continuing on from my last post...

I am about 9 games into the season and am sitting third with 7 wins 1 draw and 1 loss. I am pretty pleased though because I have already drawn with Liverpool and beaten Arsenal 2-1 after being a goal down until 88th minute ( see Man U vs Bayern Munich ;D ). Unfortunately I got humiliated by United, losing 6-1.

In the Champions League I have played Ajax at home winning 2-1 and Schalke away winning 2-0. Panathinaikos up next. I was really happy with my group as I thought I may be able to qualify, but if things keep going like this I may even top the group!

Viera (the Uruaguayan keeper) has been a revelation for me (except against United) and has been in outstanding form. Eduardo has also helped with the goals a lot more than Nugent ever did.

I also took great pride in putting down Nugent when I played WBA in the League Cup after his comment that he was relieved to be finally working under a great manager when he moved there. We'll see who's the great manager when West Brom are relegated from the Premier League and Portsmouth are back in the Champions League (we hope ;D)

 

Ive been the MK Dons for the past while and I have just won the Chapionship play offs and Im now in the prem with them!

 

Can't remember exactly how much, I think its roughly 100k. McKenna was 40k, and Van Leerdam was 40k, all the rest were either loans or free transfers.

 

27 games gone and I am 5 points clear at the top of the Premiership. Have to be aiming at the title don't I? ;D

Came top of the group with 16 points, after beating Panathinaikos 6-5 away from home. Now that was some game!

Got Lyon in the first knockout round and dispatched them 5-3 over the two legs. Just got to see who I have been allocated next, Barcelona probably :dismay:

Made some good moves in the Jan transfer window bringing in Simao and Pablo Aimar for a combined £5 million. They are both the wrong side of 30 but given the quality they add to the squad, I think it is a good investment.

In fact I am collecting quite an over-30's squad:
Sorensen, Distin*, Pamarot, Boumsong, Fabio Aurelio, Giuly, Simao*, Aimar*, Bouba Diop, Pedro Mendes, Lauren.
(players with stars - * - are first choice, the last three are on the way out at the end of the season.)

 

Does anyone else find they’ve lost motivation for this game in recent weeks?! I was in my 7th season having just won the league and F.A cup (won Champions league season before) but a mixture of real life form and suddenly getting out of the habit I’ve lost interest now...

I must agree Aber. During Feb i was doing a challenge with a mate of mine and spent the best part of 2 weeks playing solidly - we're talking 12 p.m. till 4a.m. - getting through about 13 seasons. Then i just stopped and haven't had the heart to go back on it for a while. Perhaps it's a summer thing, the nights are light and you want to be out and doing other things.

There must be an entire generation of blokes that emerge from the darkness every march/april.

 

:]] yeah you're right i think...i don't play many other games so i've certainly not replaced it - must just be that I go into hibernation over the winter...
