To be honest mine often breaks out of the anger the game causes me to have... However I don't complain about it on a message board, I just buy a new disk.

Also couldn't happen to anyone better than a sweaty.

Finally got a serious game going. Signed a number of players, like Vine, Sadler, Danns. Sold Stewart and a few others. Second in the league at Xmas, and took Liverpool into penalties away from home in the league cup. League cup was great, started of by thumping Leyton Orient 6-0, then got drawn against Lootown... They were lucky to get away with a 3-0 defeat, I was all over them, and it showed as I went in at half time 3-0 up. A brace from Danns and scorcher from Smith. Next up was Foolham, this was an easy 2-0 away from home. Having had all these away games I was hoping for a home game. You can never get it your own way in this game, and I drew Liverpool away from home.

Facing the "Impossible" is always a challenge I relish, and I slagged off the fat spanish hamster pre match, and told my players theres no pressure. 1-0 down at half time, I reminded them the pressure was off, and bought on a certain Marlon King in Center Midfield and did him doing runs forward to attack, hey ho, 88th min King bangs one in and takes it into extra time. I bought on Jobi Waankanuff after the 90 and in the 114th min he actually did something, for once in his little life, he did something good and finished a great team move. But in the 120th min Pennant scored in the last kick of the game :dismay:

Onto Penalties it went, and I lost 6-5. A great effort none the less, and to make things sweeter I drew Liverpool away again in the FA Cup. Revenge could be sweet.

Following on from this things have gone very well indeed and surpassed and expectations of the board, myself and the media. I stuck around at the top for a while with my Crewe loanees playing a big role as well as some excellent free signings by myself such as Magnus Okuonghae playing a sterling role in the holding midfield role whilst Owain Warlow is a cut above the rest out on the left wing. Craig Read was a rock at the back, incidentally i released him whilst in charge of Wycombe but i wouldn't dream of releasing him at Witton. Things began to go belly up around xmas and new year time with Harrogate knocking me off top spot and they never looked back. I wasn't expecting to win the league so wasn't too disheartened and form soon picked up again as Kyle Docherty and Byron Moore (Crewe loanees) were banging in the goals.

A cup run simply didn't happen in the fa cup going out in the 3rd qualifying round to non-league side Leek Town in the reply :dismay: The FA Trophy was poor as well going out in the first round proper to Hayes and Yeading, incidentally my feeder club at Wycombe. Guess that's what i get for feeding them utter filth from my reserves. However the Setanta Shield went very progressing to the quarter final where we eventually fell to non-league giants Halifax 2-0.

Of course i could now concentrate on the league, we failed to keep in touching distance of Harrogate and the 12 point gap turned out to be just too big. However a play-off place was easily secured and against all the pre-season predictions Witton Albion were in with a shout of promotion in their first season back at this level in over 15 years. We had AFC Telford in the semi-final and the first leg started well as we burst into a 2-0 lead. Disaster struck as that was thrown away and AFC Telford pulled it back to 2-2 and we went into the away leg as underdogs. On the stroke of half time we were awarded a penalty and the usually reliable captain Okuonghae blazed the PK over the bar to my horror. AFC Telford went on to claim a 1-0 win and Witton suffered heartache at the semi-final stage.

Oh well i thought, it was probably to earlier for my young side to go into the Blue Square Premier and began thinking about summer transfer activity. Unfortunately i failed to get any of the numerous Crewe loanees back on loan although nearly signed Moore on a free but he buggered off to Lincoln to sit on their bench. My worries about replacing them were to be unfounded as more than capable replacements were found on a slightly increased wage budget but still no transfer money.

After 2 years at Wycombe and 1 and a half at Witton it's now the 10/11 season and here's the season's transfer dealings, my current squad and league table (24th Nov).

I've just become extremely annoyed, after Ritchie Rennie went on international duty with Montserrat for two pointless friendlies. I told the Montserrat boss to play him for 45 minutes only in each game. Suprise suprise he doesn't and then in the 56th minute of the game vs French Guyana he gets injured with a torn farking calf muscle, yep you guessed it a lengthy lay off. 5 months to be precise. So you never know he might play the last two games of the season.

Hey ho, up the Albion !

well our first season in the championship was all set to go the media predicted us to finished 23rd in the league and go straight back down and the board have given me four years to attain a respectable place in the championship but i was confident that we would survive and if the results went our way we could push for promotion.

with a transfer budget of just 10k to strengthen a squad that had lost its best player (jem karacan sold over my head to celtic for 1.5mill) things didnt look great for me. they were a fair few ins and outs ( full dealings below) the most notable being lewis mcgugan on a free from nottm forest to replace karacan in midfield, kalambay coming in to compete with john walton for a first team spot and ritchie jones leaving for wigan after i offered him around for nothing as tho he served the club well in his 4 years here i had to cut the wage bill and i had players better than him on less money.

the season began well as we were unbeaten in our first ten games but then on our form shifted rapidly our ups and downs included a 5-1 home loss to middlesborough and the 7-3 smashing of barnsley at home.

keeping this update short as im getting ready for my next season but needless to say our form wasnt quite premiership material though we finished a very respectable tenth and was it not for loss on the last day we would have finished 8th not bad work i dont think for a team predicted to toil at the bottom.

vine hit 20 goals this season in 43 games but johnny russell was the best goals for games player with 14 in 21 appearances after he capitalised on the loss of form of both darius henderson and daryl murphy

vine also topped the assists mark with 13 all season

all in all im confident of pushing for promotion again next season our weaknesses being at left back and right back where we could do with some real quality and could probably do with a new right winger if one of really good quality comes along as my backup isnt really good enough

pics of final league table and final squad below

    up the seagulls!!!!!!!

    Well, I'll keep mine short.

Blyth Spartans are currently 4th in the league after being predicted mid table finish, and i'm only 2 points off top spot, of what is a very tight top of the table finish (in Blue Square North). Signed striker Tom Clarke on a free, after he was released from Yeovil and he has been quality, scoring 12 in 13 so far for me, and free signing Luke Prosser has been solid in defense.

Basically, I could still go up as champions; but as long as I get in the promotion places i'll be happy. My short, creative football has been a success, as I am top scorers in the league by far, so once I go up (im that confident) all I need to do is strengthen defense, and i'm hoping to be established in the BSP next season.

    THIS IS SPARTA!!

Well got to the end of the first season, Missed out on automatic promotion by 2 points :dismay:

So in 3rd place I went into the playoffs against Naaaaaaaaarwich full of confidence. First leg was the away one, Joe Lewis there 2nd choice keeper played an absolute blinder, and it ended 0-0. Into the second leg I go knowing i can't possibly conceed as that'll mean scoring 2 due to away goal rule. Started well, both Vine and Robinson were looking sharp, however the tables turned on the 9th min when Shittu headbutted Huckerby and got sent off. So you have to win a semi final playoff with just 10 men, hmmm, never easy. I lasted till half time at 0-0, when suddenly I thought back to the World Cup where the T&T manager took a midfielder of and stuck on a striker when they went down to 10, so I replicated this, bought of O Toole, and stuck on King. 2nd Half started brightly, and on the 50th Vine went on a great run before getting taken out in the area for a Pen. King scored, and I was up. Now the decision time, Semi final, 1-0 up, If you conceed that means you have to score again with only ten men. So do I hold it out and put 9 men plus keeper behind the ball? Or do I keep attacking? Well things were looking good so attack was the way forward. After some great possesion play of my slow tempo style I broke again on the 80th and a great through ball by Vine set up King to score. Hey Ho, final here we come.

Now Shittu weren't avaliable which I thought would be game over, Championship for another season, but I had got Jonny Evans on loan, so it was time for him to shine. Went for the usual formation with Robinson and Vine up top, and O'Toole in the centre with Mahon, with McNamee and Smithy out wide. Started of brilliantly, 3rd min break, Vine strikes for his 19th of the season. 1 attack, 1 goal. This was quickly followed by vines 20th. 2-0 up. Beattie then pulled one back for the saggies before half time. Took of Mahon, and put on Danns, and bought King on for Theo, and straight after the break King scored, and I was all over them. Danns added a late 88th min goal to make it 4-1. EASY EASY EASY

Roll on Prem, but I have only been given 6 mill :xmasundecided:

    Need a lot of strengthening!
