Season Update

The AI obviously sussed you out and countered your tactics as would happen in real life and rightly so you tinkered with things. However it was obviously the choice of formation which undid you, changing to a 3-5-2 is quite a big change. A bunch of defenders not used to anything but a flat back 4 and a midfield now alot more congested.

I've always found that tinkering is best avoided when it comes to the defence, perhaps it would have been best simply to change your style of play.

 

i may resort to pumping it long, miss the midfield out... all defenders passing set to long and no creative freedom.

it seemed my shake up worked as i finished top of the championship with one game to spare i used the last game against stoke to test out an entire team of youngsters bar demerit, shittu and mcnamee and also gareth williams though he hadnt played a game all season for me until this one.

ellington finishes the season top scorer for me with 27 with king close behind on 26 though king scored 23 in the league to ellingtons 22 so all round a good year for those two

i plan a squad overhall in the summer if i can find the right players at the right prices which could be difficult as it seems alot harder to attract players to watford in this one but we shall see

i finished the season with 88 points
burnley came second with 83
and charlton came up from the playoffs after finishing 4th

Lost 5-0 V Sheff u! and 4-1 V Leicester! !

Just finished my second season, with Watford's first being back in the premier league. We came 17th, staying up with the last game of the season. The best signing I have made is Stuart Taylor, he has been immence in goal, averaging over 7.5 but Ellington, who scored 4 in the first game of the season, failed to score again in the league all season! I have now signed Shola Ameobi, Kenwyn Jones, Gardener (spurs), and a couple of unknown Spaniads from Celta Vigo to help me for next season.

I am still waiting for the stadium to be completed, so there is obvioulsy a bug there because at the end of the season, they announced again that they were improving the East Stand to the same amount of seats as before but nothing has been done.

 

The stadium bug is fixed by the beta patch I beleive.

 

Cheers. Annoying as it is holding the clubs devlopment up as only get 19,500 each game. Though with the 29million TV money each year, Watford is the 29th richest club in the world!

Nathan Ellington keeps skipping training because he wants to be leave the club. As I fine him everytime he does it, he hasn't been paid since November (and I am in April!)

I beat West Ham 5-1!
And Newcastle beat me 1-0!
But Chelsea only beat me 2-1!

in all honesty im my own worst enemy bought the majority of my new players from abroad and didn't set up a proper pre season due to trying to get them all in its cost me big time hoping results will pick up soon

 

Graziano Pelle and Kerlon are pretty deadly, if i win a game, it's often 4-2, 4-3 or 3-2. If i could be a bit more solid at the back we'd be looking pretty good.

 

finally a win!!!!!!!!

dropped all the underachievers for my 6-3 loss to newcastle and brought them back for the game against burnley which i won 5-1 maybe a change in fortune
