GTA V Thread

I actually prefer the driving in V. GTA IV it seemed like other cars were trying to make me crash, whereas I can now gun it down a motorway at full speed and not crash and burn.

 

I think my overdraft my come into use this weekend - I just don't think I can hold out not playing it much longer.

 

It's pretty good I admit. The whole bronze, silver, gold thing for missions is ******* me off, just because it pains me to have non-golds there....

 

Went for a cycle around the country side (nothing to do with totalling my car in the middle of nowhere..) and it was pretty good looking ride.

 

Got it today and played around 2 hours worth. Some of the scenery looks amazing on 42 inch hd tv. My only current issues with the game is that the driving feels a bit arcade like for my liking, i prefered Gta4 driving. Also none of the characters for me come close to recent Rockstar game heros (Niko Bellic/John Marston spring to mind), however i'm not very far in the story so this could change but i'm not expecting it.

 

Trevor is the best gta character ever, have grown to love and hate the guy already.

 

I've spent a majority of Franklins money after the first heist on a pimping car (well, I stole the car then pimped it). Looks sweet dawg.

 

I've not used my PS3 for a couple of years but GTA V arrived this morning so I'll be firing it up tonight.

 

Trevor is hilarious, he reminds me of Vince Vaughn

It's good to see a few previous game characters in there ... However kinda annoyed at how they used one to 'introduce' Trevor .

 

Two missions that made my jaw drop for two completely different reasons...

yoga, and torture.

 

I currently just have the boat yard mission, the ice cream factory mission and then the car dealership missions to complete. They are all boring though so I might just give up. Oh and I have to do a $500 lapdance in the Pole Position club so that I can get the asset completed. I presume after that the story arc will conclude, but it's a shame that the fun missions are over.

Got a truck, drve on motorway and caused enough damage to be classed a Class 1 Hurricane.

Also, tried to stop train. Shot driver using sniper. Decided to watch it come to stop. Zoomed out. Splat.

 

My initial reaction from running off Mount. Chilliad after running from cougar:

"Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii-"

 

I just gave a drunk couple a lift home and they started having secks in the back...

 

I'm just in awe of it. R* really pulled out all the stops. Gorgeous world, great dialogue and the heists... Trevor flits between brilliant and horrible. Can't wait for online / any DLC.

 

I bought it last week, since then I've murdered eight prostitutes, kidnapped a school teacher, burnt down an airfield, shot a Leopard in the butt, bought a lap dancing club and am currently on the run from the cops and the army. Shame my PS3 is broken or it would have been a much quieter week....

 

Making 20 million dollar profits on the stock market is cool as well

 

What did you invest in?

 

I've heard there are, not glitches, but almost cheats you can do to send your share prices higher. Buy shares in one company, lets say one of the fast food restaurants, then go up north to the cluckin bell factory and blow it up, along with a few of their trucks and your shares rocket.

 

You invest in companies that Leicester gives you tips for during his assassination missions. The tips he give you will normally rise by at least 50% within 5 or 10 minutes after the mission is complete. Once I worked that out I waited until I completed the final heist and invested each characters share.

Has anyone broken into a security van yet? Do you get much money from them?

 

First one I found I broke into with ease, and got about $7k
