All 3 of those songs put a smile on my face for somewhat different reasons! The Leicester one is genius.

Had a good game today apparently. Interesting to see if he continues to be included.

With Holebas, Watson and Doucoure, Berghuis was one of our best performers today. With regular game time he looks like he could easily hold down the right wing position.

We need to hold onto him . Better than spxnking 9 mill on a 29 year old Grosicki

    Absolutely agree

I just hope that Gino and Berghuis feel the same.

Agreed, all of them did well. Growing concerns about Holebas though. Good going forward, but never know if he's gonna miss the tackle and let the other through or make a stupid foul and get a card.

If we're going to play counter attacking football, we can't afford to give away fouls. We need to win the ball back quickly and ping it forward.

Berghuis a little light weight, but so was Ashley Young. He'll grow into the league I think.

Udinese have a player called Samir who plays CB or left back. He is a quick technically excellent Brazilian and has a proper tackle in him. Bursts out of defence and carries the ball well. Worth watching on You Tube. Suited to Silva's counter-attacking transition play I reckon. Could get him and ship Holebas back to the Med in a crate! Luv Holebas' eccentric intense attitude but he will cost us if he cannot be more disciplined. COYHS.

Think the answer is to have quality cover for Holebas rather than replace him. He's a solid member of the first team, but one of the first names on the team sheet for the wrong reasons. Shouldn't go into the new season being so over-reliant.

I remember him. He was married to Deirdre in Coronation Street I think?

Done well for himself since then.

I would argue that this Wobby article is bordering on 'clickbait'. He won't commit to Berghuis as much as he won't commit to Cleverley, Kaboul, Troy, Amrabat or Doucoure. What he's saying in the article is that he's not going to make a decision on any of the players until he's been able to observe them during the training camp and the training matches therein.

Didn't he drown in the canal? Bad injury even by WFC standards.

Feyenoord should put up or shut up! They either make a realistic bid or they walk away. My fear is Berghuis stays but continues to be unsettled by reports coming out of Holland. Them pleading poverty and whining is unbecoming a team in the Champions League. For what he did last year Berghuis is hardly an expensive option in today's crazy transfer market. COYHS

The final tell will be whether he plays in todays friendly with Rangers I suppose. Letting him go seems a silly move. I understand that if he is offered first-team football at Watford then he is happy to stay. Obviously it will be Marco Silva's call on whether he stays or not.

This is a quote form him when he joined us...

“I had to do it,” he said. “In Holland the level is going down. Clubs in other countries don’t look a lot at Holland anymore to sign players because of that.”

I daren't say that I am in the know. But I know people who are ITK. In terms of some interesting inside knowledge. His father is a coach at the club and said he was unhappy under Flores and Mazzarri (shock), but he also said he was not ready for PL football as he needed to bulk up and the formation was not for him. This summer he said he wasn't sure if he would leave, but that he is very determined so it wouldn't surprise him at all if he were to stay and fight for his place if he was promised a chance.

Kuiptalk also just tweeted this. Claiming he has signed a 4-year deal.

If we really want to play with wingers then I can't understand this at all. None of the others can cross a football.

He doesn't want to be here and now it seems that three successive coaches don't rate him enough. Why are people so upset about this?

but sadly if a player is unhappy then he either plays like **** or he disrupts the harmony (in the case of Steve Butler it was both) - so best to cash in and reinvest rather than try to push water uphill

That just reminded me of Mike Williamson and his Swansea "injury". What a ****.

We were always going to struggle to hang on to someone with the ability, goalscoring prowess and deft touch of Steve Butler. If only the Pozzos had been around in those days he might have been able to fulfil his aspirations with us.

Can't we slap a black wig on Amrabat's bonce, ship him to Feyenoord and hope they fall for it?

Hopefully we put a high sell on percentage as if he performs well in the Champions League he won't be at Feyenoord long.

But we also signed his little brother Sofyan from FC Utrecht, so we will know ;) It would also be suspicious when Berghuis would be invited for the national team of Morocco in a couple of weeks :*)

Anyway, i signed up to say that we really appreciated the efforts of Steven last year and I hope you get at least some of your money back but in his first year he didn't really got a chance, ended up in an amazing loan season with us. I'm glad we don't have to wait till the end up August for him to sign. Good luck to you all this season! With or without him. He was part of the team that won the title after 18 years and he did so well over here, we just would like to have him around this year and for the future as well.

    Cheers.

No one denies that he didn't get his chance. But the first year he was not ready, second season we didn't play a formation that he fit into (no wingers). If there was a year that he would get his chance, it would be this year. Which I think is why Watford fans are annoyed.

This. I think it could have been his breakthrough season with us this year.

Shame he came to us when he did. I think it's soured the relationship and is clouding his judgement.

I wish him well and hope he eventually becomes successful at the top level. I think it would be a quicker path with us than it will be in Holland but I can understand why he's made that choice.

Can't believe he's going to sign for such a small, insignificant club like Feyenoord.

I've seen their style, more like Feyebored.
