[SOLD] Berghuis joins Feyenoord permanently

I really hope Berhuis stays, as I think he will do the business for us if given the chance!

 

He's featuring more and more in training videos/photos and was in the Chalobah announcement video. Feels like he's staying here and I'd be shocked if Silva didn't want a talented winger who just helped win the Dutch league to stick around for a while so he can see what the man is capable of. The instagram flooding is just more evidence to support the argument that we should keep him here imo, you don't see a lot of players that win over fans' loyalty like that.

 

I also think the fact he's at the training ground in the first place speaks volumes. Our other 'senior players' that were out on loan last year, Suarez and Paredes, clearly don't have a future at Watford and so haven't even been invited back to London Colney this summer!

I gather it was some form of challenge for BBC Sport viewers to post video's of their own-made chants/songs for players... Surely they couldn't be any worse than what the "Comedian" Charlie Baker created

 

We're going a bit off track here - but if you've never seen the one that Leicester made about Yann Kermorgant, it's really worth checking out. Polar opposite to that Charlie Baker effort!

I hope Berghuis stays, Silva gets the best out of him and he has a storming season.

With Steven Berghuis staying, our injured playmakers Roberto Pereira and Mauro Zarate back to full fitness, new signings Will Hughes and Nathaniel Chalobah and who knows, unknown quantity Brice Dja Djedje coming good and a slimmer trimmer faster Troy, and hopefully a revitalised uninjured Isaac Success in Silva's plans, it's like getting 8 new players.

Maybe a couple more including a nimble striker to play off Troy and I'm looking forward to August.

 

Pretty much what I'm hoping for. We're an unknown.
