I was wondering if Kabasele kicking the ball out rather than us continuing our attack or waiting till Wolves ran it out had some impact on the Wolves goal, because almost straightaway they scored, but at that point my stream became very choppy, needless to say much to my frustration and anxiety.

I think the rules are you can only make a sub once the ball goes out, or surely we could have done it when Foster had that goal kick around the 57th minute?

    Such an incredible turnaround.

Doucoure is back to his best, and it's now clear that he's wasted at centre mid. Wally saw the potential of him as an attacking mid, and it appears Pearson sees it as well.

    A word for Chalobah.

Everywhere today and pretty much foot-perfect. I’ve never been convinced he’s ‘finished’ even if I could see why some would say that. But today gave me a large slice of hope that he can flourish given the right management.
    He was superb.

Not just that, but the the decision to bring on Holebas over Masina was just odd. Masina is shocking, but Holebas can hardly run amy more.

It was also odd that Pearson didn't sub Dawson off earlier - he was almost single-handedly trying to cost us the match in the first half.

Incredible win. When Kabs went off, I thought at the very best we would get a point. To think 3 out of our 4 Prem wins this season have been with 10 men for a large part of the game. We need a few defensive reinforcement. Holebas really struggled when he came on, but to hold on against such a good team was massive. There were quite a few tired players. I would rest the team for the cup game, and give the reserves a chance.

The ball has to be dead.

And although I don’t think the sub was the only reason we conceded, it just felt like we were really ragged in that short period and it culminated in slack defending and wafting a foot at a shot rather than putting a proper block or challenge in.

They tried it during the FA cup semi-final - it isn't our fault their players aren't smart enough to do it properly.

Interesting. Looked different on the tele. Certainly seemed like Foster specifically asked the bench if he should drop kick it out and was told no. Maybe I misinterpreted his response, as the camera only focused on him.

Also, if Femenia is out mid to long term we absolutely have to sign another left back in this window because Holebas is absolutely finished.

I like Holebas, but think you might be right, he isn’t that fast, can’t really take corners and is prone to putting the boot in at the wrong time

think we should keep him at the club though to teach youngsters how to get stuck in

They were awful. Horrendous performance and I hope the boys have a look at themselves after that....

Is what I thought about Burnley after they lost to Vanilla Ice-cream.

Could not ask for a better battling performance out there today. Really deserved that, we had to fight right to the end. and we all knew this was a game we could of lost, it was by far our hardest game since Liverpool. To a man - we matured as a team today. Whatever Craig and Nigel are doing behind the scenes long may it continue. Cannot fault the lads for effort and desire, and we pushed them right out of their comfort zone. Wolves are a very physical side, and bully players around the pitch. We dealt with that well, and never really looked in danger despite them pulling one back.

Yet another red card... another one for Kabs. But, I felt he "took that for the team" today - it was a red, denied a goal scoring chance and well done to him for showing the passion for it. Two game ban, not as bad as it could of been. Another injury, this time for Kiko but considering we will probably have our fringe players out next weekend hopefully that is time to get a few back. We will have Mapps back for Muff which is a positive. Delafoo and Doucoure' took their goals well and we deserved to be 2-0 up at that point. Even when they scored their goal, I did not think we would throw this away in there usual Watford fashion. This is a side that stick in, defend with hearts on their shirts and seeing gams out. Sarr again was outstanding - winning corners and wasting time, don't care if Wolves moan, they would of done the same.

Deeney had another good game, didn't score but got stuck in and kept the lads motivated. Fans again were fantastic today - well done everyone who was there. I'm not going to Muff or the F.A Cup game so I have the shout box to look forward to. Another three points - we continue to fight against the tide. Oh and F*** VAR. I would love Spam to beat Muff later today - because if we win we could dump them in it! Great showing again today - three straight home wins (another record broken as a premiership club). Long may the confidence continue.

Didn't expect a win today, felt winning against Bournemouth was more important so would have taken a draw or a loss in exchange for that, but due to our position I'll take 3 points however they arrive.

It's been a weird day with Brighton, Southampton and us all winning (possibly also Norwich and arguably also Villa). It really is dragging more teams in to the scrap which i don't think is a bad thing.

Get in 3 massive points, really thought we were gonna mess that up after being down to ten men.

Sarr is really starting to blossom and was my motm as defending he put a shift in. Doucoure had a great bday and taking our chances being the difference.

Expected more from them but overall controlled them pretty well coady made some good passes to create a couple chances in first half and was surprised they never kept that up they seemed to look to Traore on the right to much where kiko was immense until limping off. Hope it’s not to serious.

What a performance. I feared the worst with the red card being given, and Wolves in the ascendancy. But as the game neared the end we did superbly well to blunt their attacks.

They managed a lot of small chances, but no big ones in the last half hour.

Beating wolves and Man Utd will give these players even more confidence in their ability.

I’d assume Everton and West Ham changing managers would seen them both pick up enough form to survive. Not sure I’d say the same for Muff?

That was an incredible victory. We were so solid as a collective unit and played some nice stuff to set up each goal. Sarr, Deeney, Deleufeu and Capoue were fantastic and others were very solid and reassuring.

Apart from an incorrect red card I thought the ref was the best iv seen all season, was fair and let the game flow without being picky on fouls and yellow cards.

Holebas got battered when he came on and took too long getting ready. Thought we should have picked Masina over him who was warming up for most the first half.

Atmosphere was fairly subdued today until the end, think everyone was feeling ropey after last nights shenanigans.

Glad Wolves fans have had a sh*te day out in Watford. They can go back to their no mark northern slum now and continue doing drugs with their Dad.

Said it would be a narrow and nervy 2-1 win!

Amazing result. We've given ourselves a huge chance now. Hopefully we can add 2 or 3 players to the squad this month on top of getting Joao Pedro in.

Confidence is high and we have the momentum with us now.

We've also managed to pull in a lot of other sides which is only a good thing! Just 5 points off of Arsenal in 13th. Incredible.

I think the sides in danger (with the obvious exception of Norwich) are Bournemouth (sliding very quickly), West Ham (although i'm sure Moyes will keep them up), Villa (good win today but they're poor), Burnley (would love to see them go), Brighton, Newcastle, Saints (although like us they're picking up some great wins) and maybe even Palace who are 9th on 27 points. They're by no means out of the woods! I think Norwich will go down along with Villa and then it's one more side. My money is on Bournemouth.

Anyway, as long as it's not us I couldn't give a sh*t who goes.

Up the Watford and up The Big Nige!

I have to say, Capoue has been absolutely sensational in the last few games. His work-rate has really set the tone for our pressing, and he’s been so good at winning the ball back, and then switching play quickly to Sarr.

When he’s on song, he’s one of those players you just love watching, because he just seems to glide across the pitch.

    HUUUUUGE.

Foster making one crucial save a game at the moment, one from Dotherty early on was great.

Sarr is Fantasy Football gold! Assist or goal weekly for me. Really growing. Should've scored first half when he hit it straight at the keeper.

It's funny that now we have extra creativity and hope with Sarr, there's less pressure on Deuolofeu to do it all by himself and in turn, he is looking a far better player.

Femenia dealt with Traore really well, great upper body strength.

Deeney tired but contributed game management wise.

Doucoure excellent as was Capoue. Great to see the former putting in the type of performances that had PSG interested.

Chalobah did well, room for improvement. Less bite than Hughes but much more class. Kept the ball moving really nicely and was at the heart of one of our best passing moves all season. There were a few nice passing moves today actually.

I would still like to see a centre back and full back added, I would like to see the fat trimmed off the squad and if Pereyra's not fancied I'd like to see a #10 brought in possibly to knit things together.

I cannot believe what Pearson & co have done with this squad. It just did not look possible to get this type of performance from them. Not just that but the game management they've learned too?! Fantastic!! It's like they are finally using their brains as footballers.

So happy today can't stop smiling WHAT A FESTIVE PERIOD!!!! Can't wait for Pedro's debut on Saturday :)
