If not Deeney I would go for Prodl even Watson if he had more playing time.

 

I think Troy is great when things are going well and we haven’t got anyone else like him. However recently there have been times when he has been ineffective when we needed a leader. For example it has seemed like we have not been up for games recently and I know people will say that it is Walters role get the players fired up for matches but I believe that Troy as our club captain is equally responsible for preparing the players mentally before games and during games, in my opinion the fact that our manager isn’t fluent in English means our captains role in firing the lads up in the dressing room is greater.
A number of our players clearly lost their heads yesterday at Stoke resulting in match bans for two of our players and Stoke getting the majority of decisions from the referee. I do feel that Troy could have done more to deal with this situation, talking to the players who had clearly lost their heads but he looked uninterested.
I also think that Troy’s constant arm throwing and moaning at team mates when things are not going well is discouraging for his team mates and has a negative effect on the team and he could me more productive if this is a means of encouragement.

In answer to the OP. Possibly it is. But perhaps it's because not all of the players can speak English, and understand each other, which is more of the problem. If this is the case, it becomes a bit chicken and egg.

I think he's inherited a pretty big mess and its going to take time to sort out. Gino has been after him for three years so he's not going anywhere any time soon. And certainly not while we're comfortably in midtable.

All of the players who were abstract last season are now out of the team/club. It shows he'll do what needs to be done. Keep the faith.

He's been average thus far. Second seasons can often be tougher than firsts, and he inherited a team that was near on imploding. He's also had a lot of injuries to key players.

For a supposed tactical manager however, he does not make the obvious changes mid match, and leaves things too long. He also seems to be unable to stem our poor disciplinary problems, which is losing us key players for important matches.

We should definitely give him much more time, but TBH I'd swap him for Joka in a second.
