It's funny how incidents like this never happened with managers like van gaal and Fergie.....yeah they're more proven managers but how do we ever expect to compete at top level if we keep letting the players get their way

I couldnt help reading this but remember the time that Fergie threw a football boot at Beckham. Our players seem to have got off lightly with Beppe.

I don't have enough info to have a view on the rights and wrongs of this, but wouldn't you say that the Sunderland players were right to force Di Canio out?

 

I agree but correct me if I'm wrong but the results where also going bad for di canio at the time so that was understandable. Until sanninos results become a big worry I feel only then he should be sacked. Not because the players don't like him how stupid

 

I agree with you here.... we can not judge the players UNTIL we know the entire story.

What if we had a situation similar to what was supposedly going on at Cardiff? Would the players not be right to stand up?

There's too much speculation at the minute and absolutely no need for fans to be falling out over the varying view points at least not until we more information is disclosed.

A manager doesn't need to be a tactical genius to win promotion to the Premier League. If anything, the trick lies in good man-management and putting together the right group of players, who do their job diligently and efficiently and have a greater motivation to succeed than the team they are playing against.

What doesn't make sense to me is that the Pozzo's aren't exactly sentimental about managers that under perform. If they genuienly thought Beppe wasn't up to it he would've been long gone.

 

But he hasn't under performed. He did ok last year when were in free-fall but this is the season he needs to be judged on and so far we 3 wins out of 4. If he goes it won't be because of results

 

Really good if you haven't read his articles, they often are just taken and repeated from the book in a less coherent manner.

I can't imagine that they have a very big book on this so small(ish) bets will be enough to cause significant price changes; that as well as other bookies don't seem to have the same market available so it's possible they have nowhere to hedge their liabilities.

 

If Beppe goes I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up at Leeds once Hockaday gets the inevitable boot.

Reckon 3/1 on the Fulham boss must be starting to look attractive as the Sannino stuff is getting hysterical now! Or 10-1 on Freedman for that matter.

Seems to me to be one of the downsides of the Pozzos trying to run us, an English club, as though we were an Italian one. I actually feel quite sorry for Sannino, who has obviously done what he was asked by them to do. If it's not working, maybe it's because they've recruited a non-English speaking coach who has only managed in Italy and has not been able to adapt to the Championship or the multinational squad he has at his disposal.

He may also be the classic case of the caretaker manager who over-stayed his welcome.

That said, this season hasn't been a disaster so far.

(I'm trying very very hard NOT to say 'I told you so' with any of my posts on this topic! But his record is average too, and Huddersfield was surely a warning of things to come)

 

So far yes. I too wouldn't like to see the back of Sannino in this manner, but I do not want to see this dragged out over the next couple of weeks as that could lead to 3 defeats potentially. Unless the club take action almost ommediately this problem will not go away on its own accord.

 

So is he going or not then? Less than 48 hours now to the Leeds kick off!

 

Or maybe Galli has just seen the webcam of our exciting new stand.
