Yes. I wonder what the feeling is in Spain on this one ? What the Spanish media is saying ? Oh for someone who has seen him in the flesh. If only.... come on HB1, come back and enlighten us !!!!
How can you tell ? His profile under activity shows "No recent activity information is available for hornetboy1."
Ideally Pereyra on the left, Deulofeu on the right and Alcacér through the middle with Hughes behind. Whilst Alcacér can play left, let’s not buy a striker and play him elsewhere. He’d be the best finisher we have so should be played as such. I’d rather we give Success/Penaranda/Gray more time than buy someone as risky as Origi. I don’t understand where the belief that he’s better than Deeney or Gray comes from as he has never really ever shown that?
Imagine going from Messi, Coutinho and Suarez to Deeney, Gray and Capoue. I’m not sure there’s a wage big enough that would make me want to do that.
A goal every 198 mins in a Liga is not too shabby. However I reserve judgement until Ive seen whats he's like at aimlessly hounding down the keeper.
On first reading, I was perplexed as to why a striker's tracking back might be described as DnB or hardcore cheesy techno. It makes much more sense on a second reading
I've never heard of him, but then I don't follow other countries leagues. I would guess you'd have to be pretty decent to play for Barcelona in the first place and certainly to get the number of games he did. Maybe a bit like Delefeou? Good, not quite good enough or lacks consistency? 100% just thinking aloud here, no more than that. His goalscoring record perhaps needs to come with the added knowledge that Barcelona tend to score 3 or more goals most games, if you play up front for a team that dominant you'd be hard pushed not to get goals. It's like when a failed Prem / average Champ striker goes to Celtic and scores a 40 odd goals.
I personally miss any forum members who stop posting. Makes for a more interesting place with more voices and opinions. HB1 had some interesting thoughts and opinions, even if sometimes he had to drum his point home so much it began to wind others up. I guess you just start skipping the comments when that happens.
He'll be back after the first game, can't help himself. 90% of us pretend to have seen him because it's the internet - all you have to do is make a generalised comment like 'This guy has bags of potential, was always going to struggle to break into the Barcelona starting XI with Messi, Suarez etc. Every time I've seen him he's been great, decent in the air, quicker than most of our strikers and a decent scoring record to boot. Saw him a few times last season and he's highly thought of by the fans and players alike, he's easily a 15 goal a year striker in the Premiership and I'm actually quite surprised no one else has gone in for him - personally I thought he'd be playing for a top European side by now - I'd give it four wow's on the wow-scale'
Is there an "if he's ****" recall clause? He's good at being in the right place at the right time, but he's never going to win anything in the air, hold up play or beat a man for pace. Luckily we do have a midfield that could get a decent pass into him. Play hoofball and he's about as useful as a cardboard cutout.
It seems silly to suggest Paco is good because he has played 30 plus times for Barcelona. Deeney and Gray would walk into the Barca team.
