Because it's Man United and they don't want to upset their precious fans?

This may sound a bit ‘look how far we’ve come’ but we are now in the most stable period of our history since GT and SEJ were at the helm. We’ve had the initial excitement and expectation when the Pozzo’s took over and Gino has actually delivered. We are continually improving and the only question is how long can it last? Others expect little old Watford to be relegated sooner or later, after all, that what has happened in the past but we’re now a different beast and Gino is showing that we can not only sustain Premier League football but we can also progress aswell.
Our midfield is superb, if I was in this team, I would look at the players around me and think ‘I’m enjoying my football here, playing with you, I’m going to stay’ and I hope that this core of players do stay for a while and continue to give us pleasure. At the moment Pereyra can’t get a start, Capoue can’t get near a start and even Chalobah will have to wait when he returns.

Another great day for us - fair play to anybody on here who made the long trip, turned out well worth travelling for.

As others have mentioned - we maybe weren't at our fluid best for a lot of the game - but when we were, boy did we look good!

Newcastle might not be one of the best teams in the division - but don't let their recent run distract from an otherwise solid home record. Prior to today, they'd only let in 5 at home all season - and that includes games against Spurs and Liverpool. And Benitez is a decent manager that clearly is (or was) getting more out of his players than what a lot of other managers could do.

Hughes is really beginning to look the part now, meaning he's nailed on for some kind of knee injury:eek:.

And despite being a tad quieter than usual, Richarlison made a significant contribution as always. This lad really does have something special about him.

Charlie Nicholas had to go and spoil the best thing he's ever said about us with his "no longevity plan at Watford" comment. Would have loved to have seen Scott Duxbury's face when he came out with that rubbish.

As usual - if you can't be arsed clicking on heaps of different sites for pictures - here's some of the best ones:

I do love when the yellow tinted glasses come out haha.

    Walker, Trippier, Antonio Valencia
I do love when the yellow tinted glasses come out haha.

Walker, Trippier, Antonio Valencia all been better than Femenia but yeah of course he's "by far" top 3 RB's.

Tarkowski, Maguire, Ben Mee, Lascelles, Zouma & Lewis Dunk all playing well but Kabasele is "easily" one of the best outside the top 6 haha.

Zeegelaar TWO good games and a wanted man!? **** me, even Juan Carlos Paredes played well for two games!!

    Enjoy the moment but chilllllllll.

If you bothered to actually read my post you would have seen that I said on current form, but don’t let facts get in your way. Of course Walker, Valencia and Trippier are better than Femenia but on current form, Femenia has pushed Valencia out in my opinion.

Maguire, Ben Mee, Lascelles and Zouma have had a few good games and haven’t been as consistent as Kabasele. In fact Zouma has had some shocking performances this season.

Tarkowski and Dunk have been more consistent than the other 4 you mentioned.

As for Zeegelaar, read my post properly and you will realize you have jumped the gun on what I wrote.

Anyway not going to argue with you on a great day. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Gray is not the answer. However neither is scapegoating him. He could end up an Ellington. He could end up a Deeney.

Fickle fans these days demanding instant success can do one as far as I'm concerned.

Puts things into perspective, that was a truly awful performance, our 4th home defeat on the trot and if I'm not mistaken we made it 5 with the next home game!

Everyone hoping we don't sell any of our " wanted " players need to respect the Ponzo way, which is to develop players and sell them for large profits to reinvest in the Club and ultimately team!, that way we slowly progress upwards!
There are plenty more cracking signings waiting to come in when our better players go for mega-bucks, stability is the key, as usual there nothing boring when you support the hornets!

His hold up play is alright, but it is absolutely no way near as good as Okaka’s, and neither is his finishing.

This may blasphemy but, as someone who is old enough to remember what it was like in 1982, this actually feels better.

It feels like the real deal. We are winning games away from home 3-0 against a mid-table team and it feels like we underachieved.

We are 8th yet it feels like our third of a season report would say "could do better".

I really think this is the best time in my life as a Watford fan. And that includes the 80s.

I would like to have seen how Vydra would have done in this Watford side.

He's fast and a clinical finisher. I think he'd have done very well.

Very odd post. He didn’t say what you have implied he did about Zegelaar. If Lascelles, Dunk and Zouma are your benchmark then it’s not unreasonable to say Kabasele is currently one of the best outside the top 6.

Not sure why you’re giving it the big “haha” about his post. The Watford players are showing serious merit at the moment and I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think some of them could unfortunately end up in top 6 teams next season.

Okaka can’t run the channels like Gray can though. For his faults Gray makes space for others in a way Deeney and Okaka don’t imo.

Blimey Gray really did miss 2 great chances - his goal was probably the hardest one !

    And they had 3-4 too.

    Could have been 2-6!
