Oh well...I am surprised actually as I thought he might be quite happy to speak with fans after one of our best performances of the season.

so nothing too exciting there then, apart from he won't talk about where his money comes from, he has an old car and he likes cover versions

Did I understand the Malky question correctly? From that I understood that Malky signed a contract with us 3 months before leaving which we all knew but then after receiving interest from other clubs, then came back and wanted an improved contract with us again?

I'm sure that there is some contractual information and agreements in place meaning that he can't print this information

I'm quite convinced that there will be a hell of a lot of speculating and word twisitng going on this afternoon on here.

to be fair i think he has been fairly frank and tried to answer most of those questions properly. now people need to give him some time and see what he does.

Think Bas has answered questions as openly as possible. Still think people need to get over the fact that he is not going to tell you how much money he has or where it has come from, just look at the fact that he is organising some form of plan to completely pay off debts and progress on stadium improvements.

Oh and to the 'Ian' guy who asked the cover question, you utter numpty!! Probably Ian from Abbots Langley :dismay:

If people cover a song, why should they change the lyrics? Just cover it or write your own song! The man's a monster.

I'm loving how things are finally getting done around the stadium, there was always talk, talk and more talk with no action. But seeing the Red Lion works and the new pitch being lined up, makes me feel that Watford are moving in the right direction and that Bas is sticking to his plan as stated in the Q&A. Obviously rome wasn't built in a day and as long as when 1 job finishes, another begins we should be happy knowing progress is being made. Also couldn't give a flying feck where he gets his money from as long as he pumps it into improving the club!

    •Vision: Club stability, decent stadium.
•Malky sought new contract having signed one 3 months earlier.
    •Russos not involved in club.
    •Preparing paperwork to pay-off bondholders.
•Malky said sell Buckley for £1m.
•Development: Red Lion, SW corner, East Stand in that order.
    •Financial backing: That’s my business.
    •New stadium? Complete rubbish.
•Has not closed club’s Barclays Bank account.
    •Had Bentley before arriving.
•Pitch will be re-laid. May not be levelled.
    •Skulduggery in football biggest surprise.
    •Harefield Academy will remain.
•Departure of key employees?: “I’ll speak off the record”.
•No plans for Saracens to stay.
•Financial advisors told me to buy shares.

There's not too much that is new here, although I would like to dig a little deeper on the point that "papers are being prepared to pay off bond holders in full". To me that implies he intends to pay the remaining £8 million in one go, rather than over 5 years. If that is correct, then he has access to a lot more money than originally thought. The current set up for Bond payment seems to be a very good one, being in installments over 5 years. If he wants to pay this off sooner, I can only assume he wants to have all club liabilites sorted well in advance of 5 years. This gives a timeline to his thinking, and to me I think he wants the club sorted and sold well before 5 years, or why else would he want to settle the Bonds issue sooner?

The other thing is the levelling of the pitch. I am surprised that this decision has still not been made. It would be a missed opportunity not to level the pitch, as once relaid the pitch will not be touched again for at least 10 years. If you've ever been to the Vicarage Road corner of the Rous Stand there is a large drop, and those seats can never been used as they are below pitch level. The VR end would need to be lowered by 6 foot in order for all seats to be functional. I should imagine the same problem would apply once the East Stand has been rebuilt. We would also need to add a new row of seats across the VR end as that stand would sit too high.

  17. yes he has m8 he jus doant flash it aroun
hes skate is 3 yrs old at leas

  18. Agreed, this is odd. Why would you pay off what is effectively an interest free loan 3 years early? Unless there are constraints within the terms of ther bond agreement that prevent him from doing certain things as he would want?

Nothing new whatsoever. On a positive, his responses read well and he appears to be genuinely interested. On a negative, no timescales once again.

I dont know about you lot but a business plan isnt a business plan without rough timescales. Sw corner by when? End of season? Next season? 10 years time? Rough timescales wouldnt hurt would they?

He's already given timescales but now its a case of do one project, start another. So why give out more timescales if they do not end up being met and fans ask more questions? Also, problems are found along the way, affecting time periods, such as the roofing in the Red Lion. I'd expect to see the SW corner work to begin after the pitch at a guess, so a while yet.

When I asked the club about the south west corner yesterday, they said this: "We intend to commence work on the south west corner next month and when complete will demolish the East stand."

I love the way Watford fans feel they have the right to say to the owner of the club "Look fella, you aint got a pot to **** in, where are you getting your money from???" Might as well of gone the whole Hog and asked him if his Mrs take's it up the wrong'un! :dismay:

I hope now people give him the time to turn this around. He's owned us a shorter time than the Venky's have owned Blackburn and has done 10 times more for the club than they have for theirs.

I admit he didn't cover himself in glory with his handling of the fans forum but he has now come out and answered the questions we wanted answering. I think it's now time to give him and the board some time and space to work. If we still have no pub, a cow field of a pitch and the East stand remains as is at the start of next season then we can start asking questions.

If you cover a song and change the arrangement in any way then it is breaking the law and you are open to being sued.

Not that Bas would know anything about the law.

If I was Bas and someone asked "Where do you get your money from?" and "Did you buy a Bentley with the clubs money?", I would be inclined to tell them to **** off. Some of our fans are morons!

I feel encouraged by reading that. As others have said, lets give him a chance now.

We've heard great ideas and plans from previous chairman which never happened so its better to be realistic and let things move along without making big claims.

Q: Could you guarantee that The Harefield Academy will remain open and fully funded while you remain owner of Watford? - Lee Coan
A: Yes, I am happy to put my name to that. It's vital to the future of this club.

Bazini putting his name to something doesn't fill me with confidence...

Q: Where did you, and do you acquire, your financial resources from to purcahse the club and continue your financial support for the club? - Peter Stevens

    A: That's a private matter. It's my money.

:sign15: Great answer, he should have sent a picture of his ar se to whoever asked that at the same time.

What bleeding idiot asked that? Honestly, some of our fans deserve to be strung up. Collective IQ of a mongoose.
