I take it that we know that the bonds have all been released, agreed, settled. That all the legal paper work is done, sorted and correct. I persume that they have passed the fit and propper persons checks.

Bas has already gone...if not why mention his daughter being a reason...he is trying right now to get some extra quid

 

It's all about the pub and proposed hotel he wanted to build.

If Bas can be landlord of the Red Lion while living in the executive suite of the hotel he'll sign. If not, he's staying put.

 

I think the board statement might have been WAY too premature & may even have spooked the Pozzos a little...and I see little reason why Baz would sign quickly without trying to squeeze as much out of the deal as possible; maybe a sum beyond what the Pozzos are willing to pay. So either they walk away or we are in for a couple of weeks (at least) of haggling & brinkmanship.
I'd love to be proved wrong, but I have a sneaking feeling we will see no definitive outcome until well into July.

Watford Leisure Limited owns Watford Football Club. Watford Leisure is selling the club to the Pozzos. A Limited Company has to have at least one director, hence Bas staying on. Bas will also be able to maximise tax position through Limited Co.

This would normally be done instantaneous. Resignation of one director and replacement with another. It does seem a bit strange.

 

No, Basini will keep control of Watford Leisure (I presume) but Watford Leisure will have nothing to do with football club.

The WO states "We also understand there will be a group of investors alongside the Pozzos in the family's takeover of Watford".
Could there be a possibility that the russo's are involved? I only say this as Kevin affleck had the initial heads up on this takeover and I know for a fact that he is close to them and that could explain how he knew so much and also another reason as to why GT left as they were never going to work together again.

The Russo's have no money. I really don't see why the Pozzo's would want them on board at all.
