Why now? If I was him I'd wait to see who stays up...

 

Just a kid, so he shouldn't be too worried about dropping into the Championship, in fact, it might actually benefit him to get a more football in the second tier (he's a CB/RB, two positions we could do with filling, but isn't quite ready to be a first team regular in the Prem).

If he did sign for us and we stay up, it screams loan to Udinese, which could be good for him

Maybe that's why it hasn't been announced officially yet?

 

Perhaps we have got a little nervous about announcing that players have signed for us given recent events ? Maybe the first confirmation we will get will be when we see his name on the teamsheet to play Preston next season ?

 

Hmmm, I thought Wolves was his debut, but apparently he's played 5 times in the league this season. Still, he's pretty wet behind the ears, a year in the Championship wouldn't necessarily be the end of the world for him

 

I doubt he'll sign for us now we've been relegated, seems he's recently been linked with West Brom.

 

Will be interesting. Most West Ham “ITK’s” were all confident he had signed for us. With relegation now confirmed, wouldn’t be surprised if he had something agreed that if we were relegated he is once again a free agent.

 

I think he'd probably be better off joining a championship club. Had he joined us and we stayed up I think he would have barely played, whereas I think he'd probably be a starter in the championship.

 

It's true that we could probably now offer him a guaranteed starting spot, whereas at most (all?) PL clubs he'd likely have to rotate. I guess it'll depend on what his priorities are.

 

He was as good as signed around the time we played them. Hopefully relegation hasn't messed it up as he looks great.

I wasn't sure on him in the Prem, but reckon he would be a great addition to develop as a first teamer in the Champo

 

Ngakia & Janmaat next season sounds much, much better than the horrific Femenia & Mariappa combination that has been our option this season.

Or if the so called West Ham ITK’s with 50,000+ followers is right, that he’s off to WBA.

 

If a PL club were in for him then it seems more likely he'll be off there.

However, in the case of West Brom the link doesn't really make sense as they already have two very talented young right-backs who have done very well for them this season in Darnell Furlong (24) and Dara O'Shea (21).

O'Shea was even their second-highest rated player on whoscored last season, as he kept his place in the second-half of the season after stepping in when Furlong was injured.

It makes no sense why Ngakia would be a priority for them, and he could quite easily go there to find himself 3rd choice and rotting away, i.e. in exactly the same position he was wanting to get away from at West Ham.

 

Don’t disagree, I hope Rich is right. I will probably create a twitter to just go wind up that ITK West Ham account.

I read this also. I must admit I'm a little surprised this is still going through. Would be a quality signing in the Championship for us.
