    Delighted with this signing. Let’s hope he is given a chance of a good run in the side. My West Ham supporting friend is really miffed he’s left them and texted this to me last evening...

    ‘He is such a good player. No-one is sure why he refused to sign a new contract with us. Wouldn’t even stay till the end of the season which didn’t endear himself to the fans!!! Bet he wasn’t banking on you going down!! ’

    Sorry to ask a silly question but how is his name pronounced?
