[SIGNED perm] Jeremy Ngakia

    "West Ham will hold further talks with Jeremy Ngakia this week but fear he will still refuse to sign a new contract.

    The 19-year-old has refused a month's extension to his contract and can leave the club on June 30 with Watford and Bundesliga side Schalke understood to be among those interested in signing him.

    West Ham can still demand compensation for Ngakia should he join another English side as he has been at their academy since he was 14 but a move to the Bundesliga would see them pick up a moderate compensation fee of around £260,000."

    Would be like the Martin Samuel days of 2012 all over again if we signed both Longstaff & Ngakia via Udinese.

    Youcef Atal has also been linked but I'd imagine that to be a non-starter. Would appear we are looking for a new right-back though.

    Hmmm I was looking forward to seeing Mapps and Dawson battling it out for the RB slot. He's putting a spanner in the works. Not happy.

    A lot less anyway, I think 400k was the compensation being thrown around if Udinese signed Longstaff, we had to pay Liverpool £4m in compensation for Sinclair.

    Leicester have already done similar successfully - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Hirst_(footballer) snapped up a promising youth player from Sheffield Wednesday with their club in Belgium where he spent a year (being managed by Pearson) before joining Leicester.

    Played well first half, arguably at fault for Wolves' first goal though. Mad that West Ham are taking a chance on him in such a crucial game when he's seemingly leaving the club in a matter of days

    According to The Athletic: Watford, another Premier League club, two clubs in the Championship and teams in Germany, France and Belgium. are all interested in him. I believe the other EPL club is Palace, but not 100% sure about that.

    Brighton bought a young RB from Chelsea in January. Lamptey or something similar. Looked good last night tbf.
