FF is barely good enough to play 90 minutes in the Championship, let alone the Premiership.

 

He has played on loan to Fiorentina the last half season.

 

They're in the middle of their season I think?

Fair enough, I'm just sad that it probably means the end of Forestieri. Who on his day was better than any other player i've seen in a Watford shirt. I hoped he'd produce that more often but I guess we don't have the time to be patient anymore.

 

I think we all here simply love Nando.
But he's still only 25YO, remember.
If Diamanti incoming means Nando going on loan to a decently playing Championship team, where he may play each and every match (rather than mostly stay on bench here), so in season 16/17 hopefully we're still in Premier (also thanks to Diamanti) and Nando is ready to come back with more strength and experience, that's best for all probably.

 

Sherlock says this will be a good signing. He's the Italian expert here so i'll trust him.

However, if he's sh*t, I will boooo every post that Sherlock makes for the rest of the season.

At Bologna he was keeping them up single-handedly, the only capable player in team, source of all soul and creativity on the field.
Don't know how much he may have become older or rusted and didn't watch him play at Fiorentina, but if he was often in starting 11 in the 4th team of serie A, shouldn't be too rusted IMHO.

 

Nando needs to be playing week in week out. The consistency that he lacks won't come on the bench, because he's a confidence player. He relies on runs of games unlike any player I've seen for us.

An attractive Championship team must be the priority. To be honest I'd have offered him to Middlesbrough as soon as they came asking for Fabbrini.

Might be a silly suggestion but would Nando be a first choice starter at Granada ?

 

Watched him a fair bit when he played for Bologna & he was superb.

 

With Diamante, Jurado and Abdi we finallly have some decent crossers in the team.

Could see a fair few headed goals this season from TD (Troy Deeney) OI ( Odion Ighalo)

In terms of players at 25what was Mo johnston; Ashley Young or troy deeney doing for their clubs. I think i would take Diamanti at 32 than Fossie any time this season

 

Even I am beginning to think all these foreign signings are becoming a bit embarrasing now!. The press are going to love us.

 

Everyone is saying that Nando may have to go, but I wonder if Abdi might be the one to go?

Lets face it he is getting more and more of a sick note player every day, and as good as he is, can we afford the luxury of keeping him as a part timer, it might be time to let him move on, just saying!

Anyone who's ever that injury (or researched it on-line) will know that recovery time is a complete unknown. Even if surgery is ultimately done to release the ligament, it's still unknown. He could have been back in a few weeks. Neither outcome makes him more or less prone to injury. Plantar fasciitis is just not a reliable barometer.

He could be a starter at most Championship clubs.

He needs at least half a season to develop and prove what he could do. I am sure that one or two of our signings will not settle, and then he can come back at Christmas if he has been on great form.
