Just out of interest and I'm not having a go, but what games would you deem he has played very poorly? Admittedly I missed Everton and Man City away and Swansea at home but by all accounts he was very good in the first of those and only Man Utd (during a first half when few players came away with much credit) would I have rated his performance as worse than average.

    * Gueds is one of our best players.
    * The fact QSF doesn't play him regularly doesn't mean he's suddenly become poor.
    * If I only got 10 mins every other game I'd probably run round like a headless chicken trying my best to influence the game and the coach.
    * Any player trying his best for the club deserves support, even if it doesn't always work out.
    * Gets my vote to start, to prove all the doubters wrong.

I'm getting carried away when I say "very poor", that's not accurate. And I can't remember game for game, I just recall be disappointed with his performance on multiple occasions - and I say this as someone who was excited about his signing. I even pleaded patience numerous times when there was discontent about his efforts around here.

I'll get shot down for saying this - the essence of my problem with Jurado is that is seems as though QSF has given him the best mates treatment - a lot of minutes on the pitch that he hasn't always backed up with performances. The rest of our team seems very performance based - if Ben Watson, for example, has a couple of games where he goes missing, you can guarantee that Behrami will take his place. It's all the more frustrating when the likes of Guedioura, who has been told that he deserves more playing time, cannot get a look in.

Otherwise I have nothing against him and want him to do well for us (which he has been, increasingly so).

  4. Not knocking him but Capoue, Abdi and Jurado are simply better players, whilst Watson is more effective DM

Unless we go to 4231 I can't see his chances improving much

It was all fairly obvious where he stood in the scheme of things when the club tried to get a whole bunch of players ahead of him and he was a last day last minute thing

Massively disagree with the first point. Massively agree with the fourth.

I don't know how you've worked out that he's one of our best players. I assume you must think Jurado, Watson, Capoue and Abdi are even better then surely?

Simple really ... I'm just massively biased.

Hoping Guediora plays on Saturday and has a stormer........ sadly was crap when he came on against City

I love him but the players playing ahead of him have made themselves undroppable.

Our freakish good luck with injuries and suspensions must be frustrating for him. Usually by now he'd have had game time due to one of those reasons. Hopefully he's patient, gets his chance then makes himself undroppable.

Does well in the Championship but once in the PL he doesn't play. There might be a suggestion that more than one manager doesn't think he's good enough for this level. I really hope they're wrong as I would love him to succeed but after half a season it just doesn't look likely. May play against Newcastle but I would imagine he won't against Southampton.

To those who doubt his talents just watch his performance at pride park last season ,especially when we were down to 10 men (again) His final ball that put Ighalo in for equaliser was top notch , the lad deserves a chance ,not a couple of mins here and there but a few games on the spin so he can gain match fitness.

Yes, if only we were still in the Championship eh...

  13. I don't think anyone is doubting his talent...it's simply the bar has gone higher. Last year he was a big fish in a smaller pond competing for game time v Munari, Tozser, Andrews. Layun, Anya plus Abdi & Watson

This year he's competing for game time v quality players Capoue, Behrami, Jurado, Abdi & Watson

yep I know but I think he deserves a fair chance to see if he can step up give him a couple of games to see either way , Jurado was crap at the start , but he has had games and lots of minutes and his quality is starting to come to the fore ,who is to say if Gueds gets a similar chance he could impress as well, also the lad was so keen to get himself back to vicarage road ,that has to be a point in his favour.
Capoue has been awesome but is maybe tapering off a bit maybe he would benefit from a rest in the cup, Abdi from being a brilliant CAM has proved to be awesome in defence as well .Watson has simply been outstanding and done a lot of the unglamourous stuff , Behrami has had his moments good and bad , but Gueds offers something slighty different in that as a hard working box to box midfielder ,who isnt afraid to get stuck in but can pass the killer ball as well! ,you also cant fault him for effort .
He might fail at higher level in which case he gets sold in the summer , he might also surprise some folk , like Watson , Cathcart , Britos and a few others have done.

QSF has openly stated that jurado is a class above, hence why he's been given more opportunities. He also got injured, which gave someone the opportunity to take his place, but no one took it. Paredes was average against Villa and by all accounts Guedioura was poor against Sunderland.

Pretty difficult to suggest that QSF should have taken a different aporoach when we're doing so well.

  16. It's only going to get harder for all of them from here on too, trying to sign players with a cv like Suarez has means the bar is being raised yet another notch
