    I wonder if he does though. He's rumoured to be one of the higher earners and was, at the time, our record signing. And by that point we were 2 years into our PL stay. None of that lends itself to a relegation clause being the first consideration in any negotiations.

    On the upside, his deal is up in 2022 and I would hope we could recoup a percentage of his salary by loaning him out.

    It will be the age old issue but with the added problem that we have massive debts which had been replaced annually with pre-buying the TV money which will now be dramatically reduced off the back of lost revenues due to CV19.

    Is the TV money due to reduce then? I thought that was why every game in lockdown was on live somewhere, as compensation for the poor hard up broadcasters in lieu of them demanding cash back.
