    2. No Jamie Redknapp analysis
    3. No pretend supporters from far flung countries who are clearly paid to support the team
    4. No more snidey tweets from a laughable Twitter admin
    5. Tuesday nights under the lights
    6. No more Gary Lineker shrugs followed by 'what can we say about Watford Alan?'
    7. No more porn stars being paid to pretend to support the team
    8. Goodbye to all the hanger-ons
    9. No football tourists
    10. Don't have to play Leeds

Don’t have to play Man City

Don’t have to concede to Michail Antonio

Deeney won’t be as big a ‘media personality’

Seems to be a lot of potential for away days in and around London next year

    And not so old!

    Regular 3pm Saturday kick offs?

Even this season we seem to have loads of games moved around.

    No VAR.
Chance to win more games (hopefully!)
Maybe more youngsters getting a chance

First time a decision goes against us there will be pure rage on here about the lack of VAR.

In an ideal world yes, but can you actually see this happening? The reality is that we are much more likely to start next season away at Derby with Deeney, Gray, Cleverley, Chalobah, Dawson, Cathcart, Kiko, Masina, Foster, and probably even Mariappa all in the match day squad. And possibly Sema and (if he still belongs to us) Zegelaar.

    Still excited about the Championship?

    Agree with that.

All the Championship standard players will stay.

They will be a year older and worse which will be the worry.

    Proper rivalry
    More games
    Tuesday night games
    Better away followings
    Better away days
    No VAR
No razzmatazz showbiz "And it's live..." public humiliations against the 'big 6'.
    Less tourists
Something to play for at some point in the next few years rather than year after year just trying to stay up.
A squad clear out to an extent, the really unlikeable ones who have never made a secrete of not wanting to be at Watford will be gone.
Increased chance of some younger players getting a game

I’m also amazed that some of you seem to think that being at the same level as L*ton is a positive. Frankly it’s embarrassing that we have allowed them to catch up with us.

Plus there will also be all sorts of trouble surrounding the match, them smashing up the town and our jumped up late teen fans (I guess it’s not all bad), as well as having stadium seats ripped out and a bunch of our players injured.

I really do not see us having to play against them again as a positive.

Plus, the possibility that they will beat us. Like you, I have concluded that I’d rather they were relegated.

One thing you can damn well be sure about is that their players will be much more up for it than ours well, especially if we are stuck with the lot I listed above.

One of the best, often unsaid, things about the championship is the chance to build a proper squad and give promising younger players minutes. When we last went up, we'd built a promotion squad over 3 years that genuinely must be one of the best championship squads of the last ten years.

In the Premier League, teams like us are always so scared of relegation that they go for the short-term solutions and end up in the mess we're in now.

You seem to get more respect in the championship. in the premier league nobody gives a toss about us, the media and pundits hate us, we’re just a nothing club. In the championship, especially if you’re doing well people seem to respect it more.

Our time will come again. It won't be immediate but it will happen again. And when it does it will be brilliant. A promotion winning season is a million times more enjoyable than trying to scrape enough points to finish 17th.

The Premier League is overrated and I've been of that view for a while so I'm pleased we are leaving it. It is a TV show now, nothing more.

The Sky pundits that work on the Championship are way better informed than those that work on the PL.

    11. Hopefully the end of these laughable Watford attempts to be Arsenal Fan TV YouTube/Twitter accounts with the lame attempts to be controversial.

You won't be Arsenal Fan TV. You never will be. You get 300 views on YouTube for your poor quality videos that look like they were filmed on a potato. AFTV get over a million. No-one cares. Not even Watford fans.

    Stop. Stop it now.

Money aside. If we end up getting promotion from the Championship in the next couple of years it will have been more enjoyable than getting spanked by the richer clubs on a regular basis. The playing field needs to be levelled. I would not be sorry to see the top 6 join a European Super league where their greed would be well served.

I think one of the best Champo squads we have had is the one we had in 05/06 when we went up with Boothroyd. Marlon King and Henderson leading the line, a good GK who we retain even now.
A solid back line (DeMerritt) and a decent midfield with the likes of Spring. We should of won the league that year, but I guess Sheff Utd had a better start.

Although I will not deny that the squad Joka assembled was very good as well. Vydra, Iggy and Deeney firing on each game. A pretty decent version of Mapps, Cleverley getting on the scoresheet,
Hogg and Foesteri running the engine.

That was the year Reading got 106 points I think but we drew with them 0-0 twice.

Was a very good consistent team.

Pace ,control , confidence, movement and even scored from set plays !

Can't see fans being allowed into grounds in normal numbers in the next 12 months baring a miracle vaccine/ government taking a completely irresponsible approach, so I doubt any of those fun away days will happen.

No decent transfer window so not enough time to readjust the squad, we'll lose the decent players like Hughes, Capoue, Sarr and Deulofeu and be left with the dross. The only good thing will be more games and the chance to watch Luton fans getting hit over the head by the police.

Given the likelihood of a big chunk of it being played behind closed doors thanks to Covid, the £100m+ financial gap to fill and the fact we know our squad is far more likely to be a Stoke or Middlesbrough than a Fulham or West Brom, there's really nothing much to be cheerful about.

I can't see any benefits of being a poorer version of what we are already.

Weird how some people rejoice in failure.

Whatever division we are in the Shoutbox will still be full of people who criticise from the first oppportunity "Sarr's a passenger in this game" after just six minutes. And those that just laugh when we let in a goal, or look like losing, with endless "Lol"s and "hahahahahahah!!!"'s.

One possible model to follow would be the American one where you have a 'Major League' separate from the 'Minor', usually regional leagues. This would be anathema to many, taking away the possibility of any club getting to the top, but that seems a long way off now anyway. It would remain to be seen whether the British public would go for it to enable the lower league teams to survive. Admittedly, it's acceptable in the US because that is geographically such a big country and many people do not have easy access to major teams anyway and just watch them on TV.

Can you get streams of non-televised Championship games these days, or is it back to 3CR / Hornets Player?

More games sounds good on paper, but for me midweek matches are hard to get to and in my new job mean using holiday pay. So I'll probably be missing those extra games anyway! But regular 3pm kick offs is the dream. And actually planning away trips in advance knowing it won't be moved.

Would depend on whether we sign up for that online streaming service iFollow or not. Most of the 'big teams' in the Championship seemed to avoid it.

Possibility of promotion spot, play-off spot or relegation. All options on the table rather than just which of the bottom 8 or 9 places will we occupy
Being able to watch MoTD and enjoy seeing the upsets, rather than worrying that 3 unexpected points puts us in even deeper touble.

I would’ve thought that if what Leventhal said was true (the majority of players being on 50% relegation clauses) And with the parachute payments, the financial gap between us and the rest of the championship will be bigger than ever, at least for the first two seasons. We are potentially going to be able to half our wage bill, but our income won’t immediately half. Whereas in the championship where the TV deal is £5m a year, no clubs have been getting any gate receipts and won’t be getting any for a while longer.

I’d say Norwich are going to be by far our toughest rivals.

It will be really interesting to see what team we put out in the championship. The need to clear out deadwood, the "stars" who will want out, the lack of funds for replacements, the poor quality of our "youth reserves", the overseas forwards who won't want to come......I haven't a clue what team will start the new season and the first 5 games will set the tome for the whole season (as this did this season).

One good thing that could come out of crowd band would be that all games could be streamed - I partly hope away fans are banned for a whole as that would force the league's to allow ppv streaming of the games, and hopefully common sense will show that its the right thing to skip and it will continue once we're back to normal.

Maybe people could even point out that thousands of people driving up and down the country to see their team isn't the environmental or financially sensible thing to do in this day and age.
