I think Ibarbo will get up to speed and he could fill the striker or winger role, and could be cover for both, and according to QSF in a WO article, he has admitted that Guediora and up to 4 others have been unlucky not to get in the team of late, so I doubt Guediora will be seeing the door, as for your other 3 choices for a permanent or loan exit I tend to agree with you.

Furthermore I think we should try to make Ake a permanent signing and bring back Layun at the end of his loan. I also agree with the positions you say we might need more cover for, plus a possible additional GK?

 

I thought Porto had an option to buy Layun. Bearing in mind his performances to date at Porto, surely they will exercise that option.

 

I think there's some serious work needing doing next summer in the event we stay up. Otherwise I'd just be looking to bring in at least one player who poses a threat from the wing - not just direct pacey running but something of an end product too - and possibly some competition up front too.

 

If we stay up, the options that will become available will be far better than what we had when we came up.

If I was Gino I'd sell Deeney, Ighalo and Capoue for a huge profit , move the ground to some shxthole near Northampton and sell Vicarage Rd to Sainsburys , and then proceed to spunck all the proceeds on a massive bender, eventually returning to Vicarage Road several days later with my tail between the legs , holding a bunch of sad looking petrol station flowers in a dismal attempt at distracting attention from the pathetic , apologetic look I had on my face .

Abdoulaye Doucoure and Diego Perotti will be constantly being viewed no doubt.
Perotti In 11 matches so far he has created 25 chances. His delivery to the forwards would be crucial. He also doesn't mind tracking back and getting stuck in. Best player on the park against Udinese.
Doucoure looks amazing at cm, a proper box to box player. Unbelievable stamina. For some reason when I watched he was the right side of an attacking 3. Clearly wasted. Would be perfect addition. Did read Widmer was interesting Sade Rennes, so will be good to keep an eye on.

 

Another attacking midfielder is vital, someone similar to Jurado but perhaps more physical and adapted to the English game. Another full back would be great and perhaps another impact striker.

 

Need a 30 goal a season striker and a 15 goal a season midfielder in January, both already adapted to the English game, who are married so not distracted by groupies and love the club already.

If we don't get these then our recruitment has been a failure.

I think we should bring in two wingers, a replacement full back and a midfielder in this upcoming transfer window.

Albeit, once they are in the squad, this might translate as a centre mid on one wing, the full back on the other and a striker in midfield, but what can you do...

So you think Ibarbo should stay and Jurado should go? Both experienced players getting used to a new league, neither of them probably as fit as they'd like to be yet this season yet you've decided that after 8-9 games that one of them isn't good enough. The fact that Quique personally told Gino to sign Jurado as soon as he took over must tell you something surely? After the start we've had I thought that fans would be prepared to get behind the players and give them time but I guess that's too much to ask for.
