Who do we want to go in the next window & what do we want coming?

I'd like us to sign Matej Pulkgrab (18) from Sparta Prague, killing it for their youth team with 25 goals in 20, and Matus Bero (20) from Trencin's first team, 10 goals in 17 games.

 

I think we should sign players from real leagues

We have a scout at Benfica vs Atletico tonight. Hopefully they haven't gone to see Gamez because he's not playing!

 

Hopefully we buy Gamez for Hobang. He needs 'em.

I suspect that he's been mentioned but DemerarI Gray from brum apparently has a 3.5m release clause in Jan. They'll be lots interested but young quick and English if we landed him he's the sort that could be worth a heck of a lot after a good season or 2 in the prem.

I'd definitely have him on the right ahead of Anya, but it seems more likely we'll go for a more experienced winger in January.

However, I wouldn't mind getting a more experienced winger in January as well as Gray, shipping out Ibarbo and maybe Anya, and then having Gray rotate with a new guy and Abdi on the flanks (I'm sure he can play both left and right).

Steven Naismith would be pretty sweet as it appears he's not in the bosses plans....chips in with goals, works hard and can deliver a decent cross.

Naarch will be in for him again and as much as I like him it's not worth us getting in a price war, £5m tops ... and much as I like him, if he's not happy on the bench for Everton then why would he be happy on the bench for us? Seeing as I rate WFC just a hair's breadth behind EFC I can't see why he should be starting for us either?

Top bloke off the field though, I'll say that much.

I think if we had him he'd be starting games ahead of anya and considering how many games he gets away with starting I'm sure he'd be happy at the Vic

Only a couple of months ago he came off the bench against Chelski & scored a hat-trick . Seriously I'd love us to sign this bloke. IMO he'd walk into the side.

Yes but they are the only 3 goals he's scored in 9? games this season and he has no assists per Sky data. I think we are all blinded by the Chelsea hattrick and the fact he's a good bloke. Plus of course he's Scottish, so doesn't count towards the home-grown quota.

 

I think more than anything the 3 goals against Chelsea showed he clearly has the ability. It's hard to really show what you can do when you're used as part of squad rotation and don't get a consistent run of games.

Whatever way you look at it, for me he would be an instant improvement

Alternatively the 0 goals and 0 assists in the other 8 games in a team that includes Lukaku shows that he rarely contributes much, ability or not. I'm not convinced he's anything more than average.

I hope everybody takes a moment to appreciate just how many levels that pun works on.

 

Only 4 of the 8 were starts though so hard to judge him off the bench.

Also compare that to 1 assist and no goals from anya's 13 starts.

We've seen how important consistent games are to players (Capoue) so in my eyes he'd only get better with games.
