True. Nobody even mentioned Vydra when it was clear he wasn't coming back. He's the forgotten man.

Wasn't Forestieri's goal against Derby very Vydra like? If he carries that on we should be fine.

Yea me too. They should bring it back, seeing as how every scoreboard since only seems to last a couple of games before breaking down.

Was actually going to say thats what we have been calling out for, someone to run in behind the defence and finish well.

Reckon he will have broken into the first team around Christmas time

I'd absolutely love to see Vydra back. Saying that I like seeing Forestieri get more game time.

Think for the future.. the way I see it is that Vydra extended his contract with Udinese until 2019 I believe? Just before he went out on loan to WBA?

Could the Pozzo's just be thinking ahead and getting him some premiership experience? Thinking that if we went up he'd be able to come back?

...Saying this he hasn't exactly had the best start at WBA.

    Bit of an exaggeration..

Was on the bench last week too, they brought on Long and Anelka over Vydra I believe so..

saw him sat in the bench on motd, i just dont get why so many players are very happy to be a little fish in a big pond... whats the point of sitting on the bench week in and out? its pretty clear he's only gonna play a bit part - what a waste!
i heard a comment about zaha at man u about his lack of opportunity, for me that is so naive - what did he think would happen!?
i can understand ambition, but surely that should be balanced against the potential of a wasting your career.
    really annoys me!

Same with Scott Sinclair. Probably sacrificed a shot at a World Cup squad place for the money and 'lure' of the big club.

I very much doubt Man U will be letting him go to a Championship club. Plus there's the wage problem. Also I don't think he'd fit into our 3-5-2 system particularly well. Not that I'd turn down having Zaha in the squad of course, but I think the way Palace played allowed him to shine a lot more than I think would be possible in the shape we line up in.

totally... Scott Sinclair is another great example - are these guys really happy with their career? it doesnt seem like five minutes ago he was showing so much promise, and now nothing.
Surely it must be frustrating for the individuals, but i guess if they get a wheelbarrow of cash every pay day it must soften the blow. Again, i just think its a real shame.

Could we not sign him on loan from West Brom now in the same way Bekeck went to Stevenage? Or can that only happen in a transfer window?

I'm not sure why Vydra going to West Brom is a failure according to so many. He was never going to walk in to the side which I'm sure he was aware of but in his first start got injured before half time. He is only just back from injury but was straight back in to the squad. I've said this before, if he remains fit up until the new year but still doesn't get in the starting X1 then maybe you can say it hasn't worked but so far he has only actually been available for about 3 games due to injury and has been in the squad for all of them. We need to get over the fact he didn't come back here, he was never our player, had a good season and wanted to play at a higher level. What's wrong with that? I would have loved him to come back and he did very well for us and if it doesn't work out I would bite your arm off for him to return but lets stop saying it hasn't worked and worse, to actually be happy about it (I don't mean everybody but there certainly some who seem happy to him fail)

I agree with you, but there is a little more reason for clinging on to the hope that this ex player will return, however, unlikely. If the West Brom move does not work out in terms of the player's development, the possibility will surely be discussed between the Pozzos and his agent about a possible return to Watford. As I understand it the Pozzos were pushing hard for him to return to Watford in the Summer. If he continues on the bench at West Brom (a big if) he may relish a return to play regular football. His wages will not be affected, his agent has already got his commission from the contract extension and the West Brom deal. It makes sense for all parties to keep their options open.

I am just stating that there must be a possibility of this scenario, albeit remote.

Didn't West Brom pay a bit to take him on loan? Would mean the Pozzos would need to pay west brom some money back probably

There is nothing wrong with wanting him to come back, it's the fact that his loan to West Brom is a failure and taking some joy out of it as well. I don't understand that

  34. Irishorn

    Irishorn Gael Force

Again, I agree. I would rarely revel in someone's misfortune and I do not wish the boy bad luck. In fact I posted at the time he went that I wish him the best and thanked him for his goals (not that I expect him to read this forum). The only two reasons for people being happy at any perceived failures at West Brom are base resentment for not returning to us or a hope that failure will increase the chances of him returning. Neither reason is justified.

It is very rare that a players loan is cancelled early, when they have paid money up front. In fact, I think due to contractual complications it is extremely difficult. I doubt he will be back this season.
