They've already paid for him for the whole season. The loan runs until next summer. One way or another Watford/Udinese/Papa Pozzo will have to pay up to get him to Watford in January. And why would you do that unless the player indicated he actually wanted to come here?

Troy said that he didn't think Vydra would be back due to pride now that he had tried so hard to land a Premier League club. He specifically mentioned that they were all taking it in turns to call him on an away trip, rotating their mobiles, and Vydra has also come back to the Vic for at least one game this season.

It's also worth noting that Thorne asked Vydra about Watford/Zola, and got very good feedback.

 

Troy also implied that he (Troy) was the main man last year and that Vydra took more than his fair share of the glory.

There's no shame in both of them admitting they're nothing without each other and kissing and making up.

We need a chant for a campaign to bring Vydra back and re-establishing the partnership with Deeney.
