I know I've slated it in the past but with all this stuff about his agent I can see him being convinced to do something like this. Honestly, I just feel he's living in his own little world, doesn't seem to give much of a **** where he is as long as he's being paid a bomb.

 

True or not, this is all we actually expect to happen anyway.

We need to get used to the speculation regarding Matti, it will run and run over the summer. He does seem to have feelings for the club but he has a gobby agent who it appears likes to see his players name in the transfer gossip pages. Maybe he will stay with us, maybe he'll stay at Udinese. One thing is for certain, the Pozzos won't agree to £2m as a fee even with him being into his last year of his contract.

My son has always maintained that Vydra had his head turned, probably by an agent, by all the transfer speculation during the January transfer window, or that he might even have already done an unofficial pre contract agreement with someone.

Therefore he was not bothered with us any more, and that he was just going through the motions. If what this article says is true, maybe he was right?

I agree that he dropped off form in January. His agent has spoken a lot for him in the last 5 months. If he takes the step up to the Premier League I don't think he'll get his regular football, he is still young and his dip in form may put teams off. The Pozzo's will only let him go for the right price and with a year on his contract who knows what that will be. To be honest, i don't see him being in Prem or at Watford next season.

 

One season in the championship isn't enough experience to take yourself into the premier league, ill be very surprised if he does go to the top flight, whoever it may be.

 

This was a guy that was in tears after the Leeds game! Why was that? Had he been peeling onions in the dressing room? I don't think he doesn't care about us at all. He has a greedy publicity seeking agent, who will talk him into moving. Actually, the best thing he can do is talk to the Pozzo family, they can then outline the development plan they have for him. That maybe with us or at Udinese. I'm sure Sherlock will keep us updated.
In the meantime, the lazy press (redtops, Daily Mail, Express etc) will keep printing stories becuase it is easy to fill column inches with speculation about a 22 goal player of the season at a little club like ours. The same will go for Ince at Blackpool and Austin at Burnley.

I'm sure they are, but the media are probably confusing standard contract talks with "crunch meetings to decide future" talks. Vydra has 1 year left on his contract and the Pozzos will want to keep him. It's hardly rocket science to expect them to talk to him.

 

Vydra to Spurs has been a persistent rumour and wasn't there a big bid from them in January?

My worry would be if Bale goes to Man Utd or Real Madrid .... can see an attempt to test our resolve then.
