Ticket App

  1. Help.

    Have bought ticket for WBA. Not showing on app.

    The ticket confirmation email had to 'click here to find out more' 'links' that were not links. I'm not totally stupid, I think there is going to be absolute chaos.

    Can anybody help with a step by step?

    They haven’t even managed to upload season tickets bought a couple of months ago yet. As you suggest chaos incoming.

    If it's anything like how UEFA did theirs for the Euros, they'll send them to the app in batches and so not all at the same time. I bought Germany tickets on the Wednesday but they didn't appear on the ticket app my phone until Friday morning. The game was the following Tuesday. In the meantime I had a receipt/confirmation email and the money came out of my account.

    In essence, it's a totally different experience to having a paper ticket and so it's probably worth waiting a bit longer until panicking.

    I think you'll need to find an 11-year old boy/girl to help you. They seem to be the only ones that understand this stuff

    The tickets will be uploaded in the next few days. I have ordered Barnsley tickets and the app said they would appear in an hour. When they didn't I spoke to the ticket office and they explained they will upload them this week.

    This my issue with it though. You understand why you have to wait for a paper ticket as it needs to be printed and posted. Why do you need to wait more than 24hours for an electronic ticket?

    I'm using the android app and can only see my tickets for the Barnsley game if I click on the reset password link every time I open it!

    I get an email link and just "change" the password to the same thing and the tickets are there!

    I assume these teething troubles will be resolved before the season starts!

    You're absolutely right. But then playing devil's advocate, the club/the ticketing people who run these systems would probably say why do you need an electronic ticket more than a couple of hours or so before the event?

    I should say Wimbledon's approach was broadly the same as UEFA. Bought the tickets a month before but they didn't appear on their app until 48 hours out and didn't actually activate until the day of attendance.

    Likewise for me and 2 friends. Don't think they've pushed them through to the app yet.

    Isn't that how a certain Everton players ended up in trouble?

    I take your point but nothing has proved to be 100% reliable. No reason why you cannot receive the ticket quickly even it comes with a message saying it will not be activated until say 48hrs before the event.
    Technology should simplify things and provide quick correct information. In so many cases it keeps you wondering what is happening and providing contradicting information.

    In other news, I've saved MY ticket to Google Pay and it is now sitting there waiting to use.
  13. Update.

    After talking to ticket office about getting 2nd ticket onto mate's phone, they've said they are having problems; 2 solutions -
    go to ticket office and collect a paper ticket, or
    download both tickets onto my phone and pass back through turnstile so mate can use it.

    Get there early.

    Bought my tickets for Saturday on Wednesday. Still no sign of them on my app despite all 3 accounts being set up and visible on the app. Club basically now saying there are lots of issues with the Android app and my only option is to collect paper tickets from the ticket office. Really annoyed about that as they could have bloody posted them to me on Wednesday and I wouldn't need to queue up tomorrow!

    I think it's a clever move by the club to allow them to encourage us to buy STs for 2022/3 season REALLY early to circumvent any delays...

    And now I've been told that because they had already printed me out paper tickets, the ones that eventually arrived on my phone are no longer valid. So I've got to queue up at the ticket office tomorrow after all!!

    I come on here this evenimg specifically to see of anyone else was having this problem. This has happened to me as well amd it has been stressing me out a bit this evening. I asked a couple of friends and they said they have also had the same problem.

    No sign of my ticket on the App. Presume others are in same boat.

    My tickets are in the app but they don't appear in my friends' apps. I figure either I will have to take a screenshot of each of the tickets qr codes and send them to my mates or get paper tickets. There doesn't appear to be a way for others to access their tickets when one person has bought several on their behalf. Daft.

    Seems like there's a step missing in Watford's app, which was in the UEFA and Wimbledon apps, which lets you forward/share a ticket with someone else.

    Exactly. This is an option on Ticketmaster's implementation of this technology.

    What I don't know is will sending a screenshot of the QR to the non purchasing ticketholder be sufficient or does the technology rely exclusively on NFC.

    And to get the QR I'd have to download their tickets on to my phone, which might stop them.being able to do the same.

    Just a total failure to actual user test the system.

    The club would have best being up front with people I reckon.

    I fancy a Wembley euro final rush is best way to get in. Can anyone get in and open the disabled gate at bottom of Occupation Road at 2.15?
    Otherwise I am fully expecting to be still q’ing at 3.45

    In the end I was able to find a way of sending my tickets to the others in my party. (In app for each ticket I selected "download ticket to phone via gpay", it didn't open gpay but a browser link. I whatsapped this link over to each friend. Worked for all those including iPhone users.)

    ...of the six of us, none were able to get in without being buzzed through manually. On my phone, it didn't open as nfc and only showed a qr code. There is no facility to scan QR codes.

    So, it didn't work and I'd have been stuffed if they were feeling particularly strict.

    Hopefully they can sort it out.

    On another note the steps and alley to Thomas Sawyer way are blocked off but look almost ready.

    Finally, I had no idea when booking but our booked seats were with the west brom fans. Unless I missed something I didn't realise that would be the case. No biggy, we sat further along lgt nearer our usual seats. But odd that there was no segregation.

    I only bought tickets for the Barnsley match to test out the app. As soon as i am through the turnstile and in the ground, i will be walking to the exit and home. £8 well spent and no regression testing

    My group each had three attempts to get in via the phone. I guess that story will be similar for others. They need to get that ironed out, plus allow people to switch tickets between fans in their groups. There was far too much hassle in getting tickets I purchased on to the phones of the group I'm in.

    Luckily everyone had iPhones so I signed in with my own account on each phone, got the tickets up, then saved to the Apple wallet.

    For ST's it should be quite straight forward as you will only need to set this up once. But for future cup matches it will be a nightmare.

    I thought the issue was with android but couldn’t get the ticket to show even though it show I had bought a ticket. 1430 so went to the ticket office to join the expected huge queue only to find there wasn’t any. Walked straight into ticket office and got a paper ticket. Very helpful staff so I ve put this down to teething probs with the app.

    I have android and I could see the details of the ticket but it wouldn't download, despite me being logged in it would not recognise either my email address or my fan I'd when attempting download. They let me in as I had the confirmation email as well as the ticket details. This was the same issue as when I went to the Brentford game last season.

    I cant even find or buy tickets on the official android app. Just takes me to a page saying "The event has ended"... no option to buy anything.

    On the laptop everything seems to work fine.

    and just worked out its because they havent redirected the tickets shortcut button on the main page. Finding tickets through the dropdown works fine.

    I am not around for the Villa game, so was gonna let my mate take his two kids to the game on my ticket. Likelihood of that being possible?
