I checked the table and was surprised Man Utd don't have a negative GD by now.

Close contest between them and us as to which club has the most disaffected and dysfunctional set of players this season?

Not in any way whatsoever, it's just the narrative insanely entitled fans from anywhere other than the north east of England would have you believe. They haven't quite managed to qualify for the Champions League and they're not enjoying the football their team is playing much - meanwhile they have one of the two greatest players everTM running out for them on about £400,000 a week. They don't have the faintest idea what being a fan of 90+% of football teams actually is, and it's utterly laughable.

Sky/BT will probably gutted at that result tonight.

Man City and Arsenal win tomorrow then it's probably the title race and 4th place wrapped up.

They will have to intervene (as they always do) to ensure it goes to the wire.

Man Utd are now cert for their record lowest points total of the PL era. It's currently touch-and-go for us as to whether we might also suffer the same fate this season. Fair to say both teams have had disastrous seasons this time round relative to what they were targeting.

    See my comment above.

Still think Everton and Leeds will scrape past a very poor Burnley side. If the Clarets join us next season I think they will really struggle. So probably no bad thing.

True but I’d still rather Leeds or Everton came down with us. Like you, don’t think it’s going to happen though.

Leeds have two tricky games up next before two winnable games (Brighton home and Brentford), but Burlnley's run-in looks tricky all of a sudden (Spurs and Villa away, Newcastle at home), so yeah, Burnley probably favourites for the drop. On paper it is good for us because they'll probably be in the ****, but on the other hand we didn't exactly strike a psychological blow last weekend!

Leeds are going down on this performance. We lasted longer at Arsenal and we are utter droppings.

Dangerous challenge... VAR did well for once in asking the ref to look at the monitors. Leeds are shockingly bad today though - not even trying.

Even though Hodgson gave up before the Palace game, Leeds could have been catchable. They may not pick up another point.

Arsenal could be 5-0 up. They are ripping them apart. Everton winning too - but Leeds are showing less fight today and deserve as it stands to be 18th.

Unfortunately Leeds look like they'll be joining us. Everton would have been funnier.

Leeds is a decent consolation prize, but it's a shame if Everton do get away with it.

    We’re a ******* embarrassment.

I don’t want to bleat on when you’re digesting a relegation but I actually feel bad for Leeds and Burnley fans, half the Leicester players and the manager can’t be arsed to come up with a a way of keeping set pieces out of our net and its going to save Everton from relegation potentially.

Still as much as I'd enjoy it, I won't be sad if Everton claw their way out, purely selfishly (that's obviously with the caveat that we have any chance of bouncing back rather than imploding next season).

Leicester have nothing to play for. Everton have - the performances from each side reflect that. Leeds probably thought they were safe a few weeks back, but Everton and Burnley's recent good form has put the pressure back on them, and it shows.

Between Burnley and Leeds now as Everton will beat us and win home games .

Not having ‘nothing to play for’, I’m afraid. Or at least it shouldn’t be the case because they’re professional athletes.

The players and manager failed to turn up for a semi final in the week. A game we lost thanks to our record breaking ineptitude at defending set pieces, something they’ve failed to address all season. The same happened today and it’ll change the outcome of the league season, all because the manager is too arrogant to change his methods.

On Saturday Hodgson treated the club and the fanbase with utter disdain. As far as I'm aware in all his decades in football managing a multitude of clubs around the globe he has never done that before. His decades in the game have given him a reputation as being a competent and dedicated (albeit not elite level) coach and a man of values amd integrity. If you look at his most recent position he did a superb job at palace on a limited budget. Looking at his actions all I can say is imagine how badly he mustve been treated by Pozzbury and what an utter train wreck of a club we must be for him to behave like that. Roy was making a visual point about the difference between the two clubs. Its a point that Watford fans would be well advised to take on board. He failed at Watford because everyone fails at Watford and usually very fast. Anyone who thinks Hodgson is a bad person or an incompetent manager lacks a basic understanding of football and life.

I get what you’re saying, but any manager who puts Harry Kane on corners in an international tournament would suggest that their basic understanding of football (maybe latterly) is lacking.

Imagine the mental gymnastics one must conjure to justify Hodgson's actions. Wow!

When was the last time Hodgson was a good manager? His Palace team were abysmal.
