I think we all understand that the vast majority of it is gentleman's vegetables. Lansbury will go to a lower prem tea, He's floating about just below the first team and I can;t see them deciding another 6 months with us will be beneficial. I wouldn't be surprised if potato face is sniffing about but we are not desperate for cash, we are secure, so unless it's a good move for the player and it's a sensible price I can see anyone moving. Being managed by potato face is not a good move for any player, as hinted in the legends Jon Harley interview.
Second time I've said this but I'm certain some/most of the stuff written about Watford on there has been put on there by a member on here.
Lol no I think the first time I said it was before you signed up. I haven't got a problem with someone doing it, just simply wondering.
You'd think people must get things from somewhere. They don't pluck it out of thin air and put it on that site. Although judgeing by some of the ridiculous things said, i'd not fault anyone for thinking that.
23 Aug 2010 09:23:23 Leicester city are in final terms to sign Doncaster forward James Hayter after Hayter attends medical on Tuesday. Leicester also are looking to sign Watford defender Martin Taylor and a 2 year deal. Don't believe Malky would let him go, or that Leicester would sign 2 year deal, especially because he is ageing now.
23 Aug 2010 13:39:04 Danny Ward will join Watford on loan for the rest of the season. Deal to be announced in conjunction with the completion of Ritchie De Laet on loan.

This is what wikipedia says about Danny Ward. Danny Ward (born 11 December 1991) is an English footballer who currently plays for Bolton Wanderers, as a striker. Career Ward started his career in the Bradford City youth setup before he was snapped up by West Yorkshire rivals Leeds United, but he turned down a new deal at Leeds to join Premier League side Bolton Wanderers. Leeds received compensation as a result of Ward leaving. Danny made his senior debut for Bolton as a substitute in the club's 0–1 home Premier League defeat to Sunderland on 15 August 2009.[1] On 26 November 2009, he signed for Swindon Town on a one-month loan deal. On 28 December 2009, he scored his first professional goal for Swindon Town in the 46th minute in a 3–1 home win over Yeovil Town. Ward was invited to the pre-season camp with Bolton in the summer of 2010, which makes many Boltonions believe that he will be a regular feature next season, or at least come off the bench.
Can't see us signing another striker tbh but if it creates more good competition then can only be good
Striker from Bolton, Owen Coyle said they expect him to go out on loan this week - I wouldn't have thought we'd be after another striker at the moment though...
If anyone at the club has the intention to replace Dan at all atm, they need shooting. What's the point in unneccessarily rocking the boat
Is that your estimation of his value? To me, Danny has become one of those players who are worth more to us than just his market value. Subsequently, what would make a good deal for us would be too much for the prospective buyer. 2 mio quid is well and good but not enough. I think we need to hold onto Danny at least until summer. If he scored 15+ goals THEN we think of selling him but not now and not for a couple of mio - IMHO...
Financially we are secure as a championship team. As a League 1 team I'm not so sure. Danny is one of the players that can make the difference in keeping us up, certainly on current form, so regardless of money offered, unless we can secure as good, if not better to replace him then I'm out.
I see what you are saying - though I don't feel we are that secure as a football club on the whole. This season certainly we'll be okay it seems - but I do worry about what will happen in the summer when the bonds thing comes into effect. Either way - Danny is pivotal to our survival and I agree - do not sell.
It's in the interest of the people who have lent the club money, to maintain it as a going concern until they are able to sell. In-form players on affordable salaries are hard to come by and it would be short sighted to get rid for a quick buck.
I think we will only stay viable in the championship, as long as every few seasons we have a loach or a young we can sell for big bucks. And with our academy lot coming on nicely, i think we can keep it going.
To be honest - with Smith I don't really care about the sell-on, I'd just like to see him get some games at a decent club.
