Sounds good and plausible... BUT where would we get 500k+ for the undisclosed deals? Scott Loach is the only one I can think of. Gilmartin - step up please.
I like the sound of both Deeney and Phillips, Lansbury coming back would be good too, 3 potentially decent sounding signings in 3 positions we desperately need players. Those 3 and a left back and suddenly we're looking like we might actually kick on and take that 22nd spot!
We've probably spent at least half of that on compensation for Aldred and the fee for Gilmartin. :forehead:
28 Jul 2010 22:26:57 Qpr are after sylvan ebanks–blake and are willing to pay 2.5 for him and could go adebola to and maybe 1 more striker as warnock wants to sell 3 strikers patrick agyemang, vine and pellicori agyemang could be going to sc**thorpe or palace, watford plymouth now lead the race for vine after stepping up their striker chase pellicori could be heading back to italy.
Well Saddlers, looks like Bonser is cashing in on Deeney now. We have turned down £175k with loads of add–ons for him, Bonser wants £300k+ add ons. Watford and Charlton are expected to be prepared to match that price and one other un–named Championship club, heard Derby County. & Liverpool FC: still going out: Javier Mascherano – Inter Milan – 25m Maxi Rodriguez – Real Zaragoza – 3.5m Cavalieri – Palmeries – 2.5m Phillipp Degen – Dynamo Kiev – 2m Jay Spearing – N Forest – 1m Charles Itandje – Monaco – 1m Nabil El Zhar – Burnley – 750k Peter Gulasci – Tranmere – 250k Emiliano Insua – Fiorentina – 5m + Irwin, Hansen, Palsson, Ince and Bruna out on loan Total: 41m still coming in: Ever Banega – Valencia – 10m Andy Carroll – Newcastle – 8m Stephen Warnock – Aston Villa – 11m Scott Loach – Watford – 4.5m Arda Turan – Galatasary – 10m 23 Man Squad: Reina, Loach, Johnson, Darby, Warnock, Agger, Kyrgiakos, Carragher, Skrtel, Aquilaini, Gerrard, Lucas, Plessis, Banega, Cole, Turan, Jovanovic, Kuyt, Babel, Torres, N'Gog, Nemeth, Carroll 2 spaces left for january signings Under–21's: Bouzanis, Robinson, Kelly, Wilson, Ayala, Shelvey, Amoo, Dalla Valle, Eccleston, Pacheco Homegrown: Loach, Johnson, Darby, Warnock, Carragher, Gerrard, Cole, Nemeth, Carroll £4.5m for Loach? 01 Aug 2010 00:50:22 Although he has just signed for a new club, John Aloisi has been approched by Watford as they wish to bolster their squad and add experience to their front line. Seriously who makes up this carp!!
Walsall Rumours.. This morning Troy Deeney has handed in a transfer request to the Walsall board. Watford has a forth bid for £350,000 rejected last week. Walsall are holding out for £500,000. Watford will put a fifth and final bid in for Deeney for £400,000 plus add ons for appearances, goals and a 20% sell on clause. The money will be used to pay off some of Walsalls debt to owner Jeff Bonser. No one will be signed as Deeneys replacement. Instead Walsall will look towards Alex Nicholls and Northern Ireland u21's Will Grigg to score the goals this season. & Troy Deeney to be Watford player within next 48 hours. Hornets also considering approach for Tony Capaldi now he's turned down Palace. Lansbury from Arsenal on initial 6 month loan with option to extend to full season. One other loan signing, Malky Mackay is looking for an experienced forward but this may take until the close of the transfer window at end of August. – No money to spend on fees so banking on combination of free and loan signings but confidence is high that mid table security can be achieved. Insiders say all is well at London Colney training ground, great team spirit and confident attitude all round.
Scott loach will be signing for spurs within the next week but being immedietley loaned back to watford until january giving watford time for a replacement, or a possible number 2 to gilmartin who made a good debut yesterday. A very unhappy hornets fan! COYH
That was suppose to happen last summer, Loach to Spurs, then back to us on loan for the season. Wouldn't surprise me at all.
16 Aug 2010 17:55:17 Marlon King to hold fresh talks with Coventry City this week. Aidy Boothroyd hopes to tie up the deal and unveil the player before the end of the week. How believeable is this?
18 Aug 2010 12:00:29 Watford to sign Chris Baird (Fulham) Can't see it myself. Also this. 18 Aug 2010 09:29:03 Watford are looking to add Brett Pitman to there front line for the Season alternatively also on the Cards is a Loan Deal from João Silva from Everton until Christmas with the Option to extend it. Malky is also looking to bring in a Left Back on Loan from the Premiership (Or alternatively Ian Harte)
Watford will sign de laet from man utd, Patrick Dimbala on a free, marc pugh from bourmouth and joe mattock from wba by the end of this transfer window So basically just a list of anyone we have been mentioned in the same article as :forehead:
"Westbrom are going to follow up on the signing of odemwinge by signing watford striker danny graham.simon cox will be moving in the opposite direction and 2 million" I'd take that Cox is at a similar level to Graham, and we get 2 million, can't see it happening though.
That is the most laughable rumour yet! I know WBA owe us for the Ellington saga but that is far to generous.
News for Forest / Leicester fans Not sure which one of you is getting Pratley - but the hold up has been replacement - Brendan "mr integrity" Rogers wants Ross Jenkins from Watford - clubs have almost agreed a fee of around £0.75m - Watford have been holding on waiting to sign a replacement before finally agreeing and today signed Josh Walker from Boro - so the knock on effect will happen early next week - just not sure where Pratley will end up. would not be at all surprised if this was true
This specific reference, highlights that the Author is a watford fan As it's on football-tumours and not on this site I would think it's a little bit of creative writing!!!
22 Aug 2010 15:42:11 Loach will almost certainly leave Watford before the transfer window closes, but only if a club meets the 5m asking price - Although Watford have financial constraints they will not let their best assets go for peanuts. Danny Graham will be staying no matter what. Henri Lansbury is likely to join a club on loan and its probably between Watford and Leeds - Watford are in pole position after he enjoyed his time at the club last season. Qpr to strenthen their promotion push with double signings of fulham defender Chris Baird who wants to remain in london and Richie De Laat from man united on loan 22 Aug 2010 14:44:24 A lot of Premiership clubs are looking at Watford goalkeeper Scott Loach, who was recently called up to the England squad. Tottenham bid for him in January and there bid was rejected. Malky Mackay is hoping for £5 million for him and Spurs, Celtic, Man City and Fulham are all interested. If Schwarzer or Given leaves, i think he will end up at City or Fulham. Although Malky is hoping for £5 million, i think he will sell for £3 million because of Watford's financial problems and he just wants to cash in on the player Swansea apparently want Danny Graham and Ross Jenkins. It is rumoured that Swansea will bid £750,000 for Jenkins as Watford have jyst got Josh Walker who plays in the same role. Danny Graham is worth more, but ex-hornet boss Brendan Rodgers is trying to get him on the cheap There are more rumours of Eustace going to Leeds. This is untrue as he didn't fail a medical last time, he just turned them down. Watford are trying to get Man utd left back Ritchie De Laet on loan. They are also interested in Henri Lansbury again. Expect Malky to get a few more loanees and one or two more permanent signings Just copied and pasted stuff thats on there today.
