Oh please may this be so.

 

To me, Duxbury is far from being the main problem at the club right now. That is undoubtedly the playing squad who, as shown particularly by the performances against Blackburn and Swansea (and several more), despite having sufficient ability, do not have the drive or commitment to succeed at our club. Of course ultimately that is down to the recruitment of those players, which has been almost entirely disastrous since the signing of Gray, and the responsibility for that lies with the owner.
Having said that, if we believe the narrative that Edwards was Duxbury's suggestion to Pozzo who has now binned him in favour of the coach he really wanted, then Duxbury should really have resigned by now because of being undermined by his boss and made to look stupid and a liar for his "hell or high water" comment in the summer.

 

And lose his £1m pay-off-i am guessing as thats his annual salary-maybe more-the statutory NDA will prevent any reveals

 

I just wish there was someone who could sack him. I’d love someone to take that responsibility.

 

If you're still talking about Duxbury, then as I was trying to say, it wouldn't make a scrap of difference. Any more than sacking the latest manager does.

 

Duxbury (and Giaretta for that matter) are the new Giraldi, while they certainly don't seem to be competent one bit, they clearly aren't the main problem, and it's a bit infuriating to see people call for their heads when the real problem is staring everyone in the face

 

I was wondering if the new loan was for Duxbury's pay-off

Nope. He was either publicly humiliated by his boss or he spent all summer bullsh!tting the fans. Either way it appears he's retreated to the shadows to sit on his generous salary.
