Would Charlton's Callum Harriott be worth considering? Five goals in the last two games. He's a winger but I think he can also operate as a striker.
Is Glenn Murray still at Palace? Wonder if they'd let Mariappa go? Reckon Palace will be looking for a new RB.
Jason Steele (mboro) - not first choice anymore due to injury when karanka was appointed loads of championship experience and only 23. Home grown as well. Zaha - not had a great season at Cardiff and doubt he will be in man utd immediate future. Season long loan also home grown.

I was honestly at the point on Saturday of just saying screw it, and overhauling everything, managers and players. I still think we have a few good players, but we are not a team, unlike Burnley and Leicester, where the sum of all parts is greater than individual talent, and that's why think, unfortunately, the squad needs an overhaul. A new goalkeeper is high priority, jason steele, kieran westwood or brkic from Udinese. Ekstrand and cassetti are probably leaving so maybe someone like Ben Turner from Cardiff or Maguire from Sheffield Utd and build a solid defence. Signing Toszer and keeping Abdi fit are extremely important, and i think we will have a good nucleus. But i think our strike force needs the most work. Questions over Deeney's future means we need to line up replacements now, in case he does leave. Forestieri being injured this season has meant Anya has had to go up front, which isn't good enough. Keeping Ikpeazu and Jakubiak as back up, giving Acuna a chance, but for me we should be going all out to convincing Vydra to come back. Unlikely but necessary. A lot of work for the inconsistent Nani to do over the summer, and i don't have a lot of confidence in him
Whoever we sign, we need to start looking now. We have no excuse, we need to be competitive; we don't need to work through the night to simply stay afloat any more. And it can't be left until August; with no embargo I expect us to do a bit better than signing Lucas Neills and Park Chu-Youngs on deadline day.
Brkic Doyley Hoban Angella Pudil Toszer McGugan Abdi Fessi Deeney Anya This is the team i would like to see next season... with maybe someone like Fryatt instead of Fessi or maybe Vaz Te who's contract is expiring at the end of this season. I also think that defense is slightly week i think that Faraoni could be taught to act more like RB. So that could alternate but i personally don't think Hoban is a important first team player at the moment. Maybe Heitanga his contract also expires at the end of this season. Basically the team needs a new strike force and ever since the 2012/2013 season partnership between Deeney and Vydra. I believe that there should be 2 contrasting strikers playing up front. 1 person being strong in order to hold the ball and as well as finish. And another person to be effective in 1 on 1's (lighting quick)
Reading released Mcanuff, Wayne bridge, Gorkks and GK Stuart Taylor today so looks like the clear outs have started
Bridge is retiring due to his knee but I wouldn't say no to Gorkks, knows the league well, no nonsense and still got a year or 2 in him.
Having said that, we shouldn't all get obsessed by this "he knows the league" stuff and start wanting any old rubbish who's played in the Championship for a few years
Ah b*llocks, should have kept shtum, should have known Giggsy would come sniffing around the forum after that thread about him earlier. They've have just released Jack Barmby, Nick Barmby's son. He looked the real deal when he was younger, not really sure what went wrong, but could see the Pozzos taking a Reece Brown type gamble with him. I do think the value for British players comes when recently promoted sides are safe in the Premiership, and want to bring in some quality. Glen Murray could be a great shout if Palace start signing a couple of strikers (although he's the kind of striker that QPR would get), Matty Fryatt too. Depending on Hull's transfers, I'd love James Chester or Joe Dudgeon, but they seem pretty unlikely. Paul McShane however would be a great signing as a physical presence (I remember him half killing a Sunderland player) and being very vocal at the back. He only played a couple of games this season and shouldn't cost too much. Edit: Wow Hull really have loads of ex United defenders
Funny because I remember seeing someone walking out of there ground last year wearing a United shirt.
Strange how last season we were all criticising Glenn Murray for being little else but a goal poacher and now people want to sign him.
Reading the posts about Hull. I know he became a regular, but weren't we linked with Meyler at some point?
