You do know that the WO isn't only a Watford FC newspaper don't you? They have other stories to be getting on with such as cats stuck up trees on the Meriden, a guy stealing a case of Stella from a Rickmansworth Co-Op and the latest food hygiene scores for the supermarkets along Market Street.

To criticise the Watford FC coverage of the WO against the Watford FC exclusive WDSport is like moaning that we get more coverage on Sky Sports News than we do on BBC News.

 

The Mirror reckon it's just international clearance delaying an announcement.

Well this came right out of the blue!

 

Exciting stuff. Great to get this one confirmed, finally. Definitely a lot of potential if his head is in the right place and he's prepared to work hard, which based on several reports won't be an issue. And if, as also reported, we've beaten 'more prestigious' teams to his signing then all the better. Either way let's get behind him from the off and give our full support, let him know he made the right choice.

They certainly made a mountain house out of a mole hill sorting this transfer out

 

For me this transfer is the tip of the iceberg.

 

Looking at his interview on HP, he genuinely seems like a very good, professional player- it seems that he's more than just someone who talks the talk and is refreshingly honest. For example when he was asked the same question that Marks has asked every new signing about what they know of Watford, instead of talking about Zola/Play off final 2013/Elton John or anything else that seems as if the press liaison officer has told them to talk about, he just said about the vision of the club, that we play in yellow and he doesn't know more. He continues that honesty by saying exactly what he needs to develop on here and that he's looking to get out of his comfort zone as that's the only way you can improve.

I've definitely got more than a feeling that he'll walk the walk

 

Just Inler, Doumbia, Gradel, Vasquez, Taider, and Immers to go and we can consider it a half decent summer

 

He clearly hadn't done any background reading/prep for this interview and doesn't even know who he's signed for. Get rid.

I'm going to get behind the guy and support him, but something is telling me he's been quite overhyped.

I'm usually wrong, but I don't quite catch on to this excitement that the rest of you have? Is it just because he had 1 good season last year, or am I missing something?

Literally every single comment I've seen about him from any Dutch fan or pundit is about how ****ing brilliant he is.

 

Let's hope he's more Dennis Berkamp than Ricky van Wolfswinkel in his success as a Dutch player in the Premiership!

As I say, sure I'm wrong. Just haven't seen enough of him to get as excited as some are here.

 

We do actually really, really need another centre midfielder. One bad injury would completely **** our season. Likewise a striker, Deeney getting injured for a long spell would probably send us down.
