    Knows something we don't?

Did he mean us or the Premier league particularly?

No I mean he sounded like he didn’t know what he was talking about by referring to the fact we have a load of feeder clubs around Europe, when in fact we don’t.

Maybe this is why pundits go nuts over Deeney.
He always looks like he's just scored.

Didn’t someone “ITK” confirm that the links to us were all agent talk?

Brighton, Palace, Watford (maybe Wolves or Newcastle as well?) probably the logical destinations.

Not sure we can compete if the others are sniffing around given the wages those clubs pay but maybe a Spanish speaking coach puts us at an advantage.

Well it's only us and Brighton that have been linked from England I believe. Brighton openly said they hold no interest.
Palace and Wolves are managerless leaving the Geordies.

Rafael Santos Borré would already have decided his future: he would not continue in River and would have everything agreed to play for an English team
The journalist Hernán Castillo reported on TNT Sports that the Colombian striker had already reached an agreement with a second or third order team in the Premier League

Rafael Santos Borré would go to a Premier League club

The future of Rafael Santos Borré is one of the issues to be resolved by River . The Colombian has a contract until June 30 and the "Millionaire" will wait until July 1 to offer him a new contract to avoid having to pay Atlético de Madrid. But Borré would have already defined his new destiny.

The journalist Hernán Castillo reported in Halcones y Palomas (Monday through Friday at 12 on TNT Sports ) that Borré would have decided not to continue in River and would have already verbally agreed to his arrival at an English team of the second or third order of the Premier League , although the name of the club did not transcend.

It should be remembered that at the beginning of this 2021 it had been followed by many teams. He even rejected proposals from Palmeiras and Gremio, both from Brazil. Clubs like Watford and Brighton had also taken an interest in him. What will be the new destination? Until July 1, the day on which he will be released, he will not be able to sign with a new club.

After River's match for the Copa Libertadores against Fluminense, Borré was consulted about his future, but preferred not to give details. "I don't know, I would have to see that. Now I go to the National Team and then I will have to look and analyze," he explained.

CONFIRMED: ANOTHER ARGENTINE REINFORCEMENT FOR SAO PAULO DE CRESPO
Borré was cited by the Colombian National Team for the South American Qualifiers and the Copa América. While at River they dreamed of continuing to count on him, the Colombian would go to the English Premier League. If this is confirmed, the team led by Marcelo Gallardo will aim all its cannons at the return of Sebastián Driussi.

You can click translate underneath, but basically it says ‘he has everything fixed with an English club’.

I wish him well at Brighton and look forward to seeing his only goal for them which will be against us. He'll then be back in South America this time next year.

Is anyone an expert on this fella? From the YouTube videos he shows a nice calmness infront of goal.
But what else does he bring to the table? Speed, linking up play, strength, workrate?
It looks to me that he either is very adapt at finding space in the area or defenders in Argentina are very poor at marking.

    Just read this.

    A quick translation from https://elintransigente.com/2021/05...or-un-jugador-que-estaba-negociando-con-boca/

There are a few things to keep in mind. In the first place, it is practically a fact that Rafael Santos Borré will pack his bags and will end up leaving Núñez's club once his contract ends on June 30. In fact, today it was learned that he has practically everything arranged to join a Premier League club, and it is speculated that it is Watford , who recently rose from the second division to the highest category.

I find it odd that Argentinian media broke it that he has essentially found an agreement with an English club, but 2 days later it’s still not clear who that club is.

Maybe this news from Burnsy means it is (and always has been) us?

No idea if the bloke is any good but he’s a far more intriguing prospect than Fletcher. Get it done!

It’s odd. I’m no means ITK - I just know a couple of people who have some knowledge of some things etc.

This person told me a week or so ago that, to their knowledge, we had scouted the player but it was no more than that and we didn’t really hold a solid interest. The same person is now adamant that an offer has been placed at some point this week.

Sounds like our number one target Fletcher may have turned us down so we've acted quickly to get Borre.
