Still aghast that no one has signed Hakim Ziyech of Twente. Incredible on FM. In real life too; 39 goals and 36 assists in 94 starts in the last three seasons and just 23. Available for £9-10m. Reports suggested we were very interested around a month ago before Ziyech almost signed for Burnley. Would have been an incredible signing for them and just as good as Boufal (and more consistent too) in my eyes.
I've seen his name linked with a few Prem clubs over the summer, including Arsenal I think. No takers yet for some reason. His record would suggested he'd be a good buy. Maybe he's happy where his, or Twente are not that interested in selling?
Kevin Friend If we can persuade Arsenal to let him go he would be a great acquisition worth a lot of points every week
Nicolas Gimenez. Hard running combative young central attacking midfielder who can play out wide. Blessed with great stamina, a decent enough dribbler and has invention to go with his physicality. Good striker of the ball. Wouldn't cost that much to bring in next summer from Talleres.
David Marshall for £3.5m? Sign him up! Homegrown, cheap and has always been quality against us! http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/3..._the_day&ns_source=facebook&ns_linkname=sport
How is he 'home grown' as well? He spent his academy career in Scotland. Isn't it 3 years at an academy before 21, like Cesc Fabregas? In fact, I will offer him as suggestion, out of favour with Chelsea but destroyed us when he came on. He could also move back to the area he grew up in for the later teenage years!
Moussa Sissoko Long shot, and I'm sure there will be other offers on the table more lucrative to his club, but maybe worth waiting a few hours and then putting and offer in for Moussa Sissoko on loan on a similar deal to Wilshere. Can't see Newcastle wanting him hanging around depreciating in value when he's been so vocal about wanting to leave. Plus, played alongside Capoue for Toulouse as well...
Watched the Arsenal game yesterday and, despite his own goal, I though Kevin Wimmer looked decent for Spurs. It seems we could do with some CB reinforcements (he also played in a back 3 yesterday), and he doesn't play much for Spurs either. Still only 23 too, wouldn't mind us going in for him
Watched Derby at the weekend & Will Hughes was class again, way too good for the Championship IMO. His little chip for Bent's goal was a thing of beauty. Would love to see him play for us.
Scott Kashket at Wycombe? I know it's only League 2 but he's scored something like 11 goals in 8 games, and he's only 20. Might be worth a punt, if not only to get some more young, home-grown talent into the squad.
Been rumoured that Walter may be interested as he tried to sign him at Napoli. Heavily linked to Genoa though http://www.calcionews24.com/futuro-hernanes-genoa-juventus-watford
Nothing concrete but Dominic Solanke is a name interesting us, could be another Sinclair type deal that happens in the summer as he's out of contract.
Idk if he is available but a Burnley, Festa, Villa & Palarse are interested in Robbie Brady. If we were ever genuinely interested in him before I hope we renew our interest
Well I will have to trust you on that one. But my feelings are that Young could hit the ground running. He knows us, knows the league and can play mutiple positions. Holebas is two yellows away from a two match ban and we have no back up. Would like us to move for Brady, with maybe loaning them Sinclair as a sweetner. But ideally both of them.
Bit of a Hernanes update. Tomas Rincon has signed for Juventus, part of the deal was Hernanes being allowed to talk to Genoa. Genoa want Agyemang-Badu from Udinese so don't be surprised if he ends up at Genoa while they cool their interest in Hernanes and he ends up elsewhere....
Yep. The trouble with trying to take a punt on the few stand-out good Championship players is that most play for bigger clubs, all of whom are still currently in with a decent shout for the playoff. The rewards for reaching the promised land of the Prem are so huge it's near impossible to get any of them in this window, even for £stupid millions
Gonna throw a curveball here, but why Brady? Sure he gets forward and isn't bad with a cross or a dead ball, but he's poor defensively. He just kept on getting good reviews last year because of what he did going forward. Let's not forget that he got relegated from the Prem two years in a row in two different setups. Of course, he could be like Janmaat and do well as a wingback in a 3-at-the-back formation, but I wouldn't want him here, especially as he ain't doing well this season as well.
Got a straight red today for a studs up challenge (maybe a bit harsh). I reckon someone in The Prem will take him at some point, he has got quality despite the relegations, doubt it'll be us though
