I ve got a Wycombe season ticket as well as a hornets one (live near the ground and only 3 home games in the season clash !) So I ve seen him a lot so far.... he's quick and has a great eye but I don't think he's prem standard.. having said that I'd take a punt at Aaron Pierre who's contract is up come the end of the season. We most DEFINATELY should have grabbed Matt Ingram their young goalie who went to QPR last season.. he was absolutely awesome !! Worth a mention that Wycombe are doing well and their engine room in the centre of midfield are a certain Luke O'Nien and Stephen McGinn !!!!!
Seriously , I reckon Hernanes would turn out to be one of those under appreciated players who is just too good for the premiership but nobody who doesn't read the Guardian can appreciate, the type that mindlessly looks at misleading stats like goals, assists and key passes when assessing an attacking player .
Or another lightweight skilful players, comfortable on the ball, who contributes no goals, no assists and no tackles and gets Britos and Prodl more involved in the play than is good for us.
Considering we can't any more Non-HG players, here's a few HG players I'd like to see us look at. Scott Hogan (not sure why but get a feeling he could be rather good), Will Hughes, Henri Lansbury, Robbie Brady, Robert Snodgrass (Plssssss), Hourihane (11 assists already!!)
Good list. I would add Rob Green (to replace Pants as backup & free up a non-HG slot - he's still a good keeper) & young Forest midfielder Ben Osbourne. I'd also suggest Tom Ince but I won't of obvious reasons. Apart from the 2 Forest guys & maybe Hourihane (Is he HG?) I doubt the rest would be available though.
Nobody is suggesting we sign Championship standard players, and nobody is suggesting we sign loads of them, just one or two stand-out Championship players who might be good enough for The Prem for the vacant HG slots.
Luis Gustavo has been made available for loan to permanent in the Summer. But I have no doubt bigger clubs than us are interested in him.
There's lot of talk that Stoke are going to offload Bojan. Would be a great signing to replace Pereyra IMO, although obviously several cubs would be interested.
Read rumours this morning that Palace are after Brady for as little as £7m I highly doubt he'd go for that 'cheap' but if he did I'd want us to atleast be in the mix for him and/or Charlie Taylor from Leeds who's contract if up in the summer apparently West Brom could be in for him, again if the price is right I think these are the sort of players we need to be in for.
Palace fans believe they have tabled a bid for Brady. Doubt Gino would spend 7m on a GB/Irish player.
I can't see him coming at all either but if they did get him for around £7m this time next year he could easily be worth double so it makes sense business wise as well to me. I genuinely think our squad qould benefit so much from younger players who have been in the Championship and have a point to prove in the Prem, we seem to have too many who don't seem to have anything to prove.
Bakary Sako being sold for £4 million supposedly. Not sure what's happened at Palace but I actually think he could be a great addition.
Decent player. Wouldn't say no at that price. Hasn't worked out at Palarse but I wouldn't hold that against him.
RB Leizpeg are also interested. Would be a very good signing IMO if we can get him for less than 10, although they went public this week saying that they wanted 15. Maybe they would accept 8, plus Gueds.
Not that figures in rumours, likely plucked out of thin air, really matter :') He's English therefore Watford have no interest in signing him
Glenn Murray has 15 goals for top of the table Brighton. Surely worth a cheeky bid? Alternatively Jutkiewicz has 9 for a struggling Birmingham team. Possibly back up option? I think both could thrive on Henri Lansbury's deliveries, especially if we can also get deals over the line for Dave Edwards from Wolves and Steve Sidwell for some added creativity COYH!
