If this guy is a Gosling replacement, I'd be well happy.

Sign Yokuslu and assuming Chal stays and Hughes goes ( if anyone actually wants him) I think the midfield is starting to take shape.

 

Obviously you can't trust these sites that list player salaries but it looks like he's on about 30k a week at Parma. You'd imagine he might agree to a slight decrease to come and play in the PL at his age, so you can see why we've gone for him over Thorsby when you look at the total outlay.

 

I hope this leads us to sign other older players like Guedioura. Plenty of minutes left in the tank.

 

I agree but Duxbury's point was about not blocking the younger players. If we're just going to keep making excuses to not play them and clog up the squad with older players then I'd rather he kept his mouth shut.

 

I can't say I have seen too much of Kucka in more recent times if I am honest but I remeber him having good physicality and being good defensively and he likes to carry the ball forward from midfield which is something we have missed since Doucs left.

He seems to have had an alright season last year, but just can't imagine he'll still have the legs for this league.

Gosling tends to play in the more advanced role when used.

I still think we need an upgrade at attacking midfield before Gosling can be sold.

It's difficult to tell where Kucka might be used - he does seem to have played in more advanced midfield roles quite often, though is also regarded as a decent ball winner.

If he's our new #10 though then we're also screwed. No more hopes of signing Pereira if so.

 

We've got Etebo for that.

Sure Kucka might also be able to do it, but maybe not at much of a pace any more.

So I’m guessing it’s more in the region of what I said. Only difference is, he has a blue tick next to his name so people think it’s true. When in reality, the guy is just as clueless as all of us. He’s literally making his number up and saving himself by saying in the region of. That way when the accounts are released and we see it was closer to £1-1.5mil, he can still appear to be right.

I've given up caring. But the fella although 34 is decent. Not what I wanted but it's Watford and disappointment goes hand in hand.
Anyways saw him a couple of times last season and he certainly didn't play like someone of his age.
