It’s so bad it makes me wish we simply had owners who did things that improve the image of the game, like chop journalists into bits, run concentration/re-education camps or manage Putin’s money for him.

I don't think the deal itself is dodgy, it suits both parties for us to have Kamara this season and for them to have him when Udogie goes, but what stinks is the vastly inflated fee for him, I wouldn't have minded too much if it were £10m or so...

It was to replace a chap that Udinese sold, but they then had that chap loaned back to them for this season so they were then able to laon him back to us menaing we didn;t need to replace for a season.

Explains the movement shenanigins but maybe not the inflated price.

 

I’m fairly certain the inflated fee is so that we can pay creditors and allows the Pozzo’s to continue their long-standing game of cat-and-mouse with the Italian tax-man.

Seems to me that the Kamara cash was to plug a gap due to not being able to shift Sarr or JP. Still think one might leave before the deadline, obviously too late for Gino to spend any money though.

There seems to be a big uproar over Watford making this deal. I wonder if there was a sell-on clause? If so, Nice would have done very well out of it, so I don't think they'd be complaining.

Seems a bit ridiculous for the player we choose to do this with to have a sell-on clause, given that would just be wasted money sent outside the family. Surely it would be easy just to choose a player that doesn't have a sell-on clause?
